But you need back up and options off the benching? I wasn't against loaning him out but bringing nobody in to replace him was poor.
I know, but it is hard to hold on to a player who specifically wants to leave to get more playing time when you quite obviously are not going to be able to give him playing time at all. I mean when is Kean playing ever for us? You just can't bench Dom.

A lack of back up has already harmed us. When Richy was out Kean would have come in. Take the point about him wanting out he probably did and his agent probably wanted to move him as he wasn't playing but we had to replace as it is we weakened ourselves by loaning out Kean and Theo... We lack back up in forward areas now we are heavily reliant on Richy and Dom playing every minute which is not possible.

I don't think he would have because Kean isn't a winger. Theo is a different story.

He can play as a wide forward and its better than what we ended up doing. Also you want a forward to come off the bench who you picking Kean or Tosun?
Kean obviously, but managing a squad is more than that.

Kean is a really poor wide player. He's a decent dribbler so people think he can but he offers very little of the other stuff a wide player needs.

My issue isn't the decision to loan him but what we are doing wrong with young players we buy. Lookman, Vlasic, Kean have all looked a shadow of themselves with us
I don’t know. But at the same time we have developed and improved Richarlison and DCL who were both youngsters when signed.

I think we need to be backing the youngsters and giving them a run of games instead of dropping them the first time they make a mistake. Lookman would have been bombed out of the team after missing a pen. Parker kept him in for Fulham and he had a blinder against Villa.
