...Linekers goals invariably finish inside the post (just like Ian Rush, Jimmy Greaves et al). He was bright as a button in the box, stealing in front of his markers to get on the end of crosses be it on the ground or in the air. When Lineker had a hint of a chance you were confident he’d score, that was never the case with Kean.

I guarantee CBs were scared stiff playing against Lineker. I guarantee CBs don’t lose sleep at the prospect of facing Kean. The one thing they have in common is wearing football kits.
Well put, Eggs!

You've compared him to Victor Anichebe whose career high in goals is the same number that Kean has before Christmas.

Anichebe never played alongside Neymar in a league full of farmers. He played for Everton though, and was more effective than Kean ever was during his time at Everton.

Whatever!

As long as he leaves and we can re-invest the money elsewhere I don't mind. I just don't want him ending up back on our bench because we now think he's worth 40 million quid after scoring a few goals in the French league, because nobody is going to pay 40 million for him! I think even a 30 million pound valuation would price him out of a move.

I think the maximum we will get will be 20 - 25 million, and we should be happy to get it.

Anichebe was not a good goal scorer in the Chinese second tier.

He's 20 and scoring goals in a good league (yes it isn't the PL but people buy goal scorers from France) and also doing decent in the CL. And as much as the lazy thing to do is say it is because of Neymar and Mbappe, he's done alright in games without them.

So 20m is entirely too low, given what we paid. It would be horrendous on our part. People ask why we can't sell our players for silly fees like the RS do. Well taking a loss on an actually good player would make it a lot harder going forward.

Mbappe, one of the best youngsters in the world, wanted by everyone for world record fees has only ever played in the French league though?

Moise Kean will score goals whatever league he plays in, he's a bit similar to Lukaku in that respect

Well he couldn't even get a game at Everton.

I'm not saying he's anywhere near as good as Lineker at this point in time, but I'd say stylistically he's a decent player upon whom Kean could model himself over the coming years. Then again, Lineker signed for us at 25/26, whereas Kean was only 19, so I wouldn't expect him to be at such a level. To make him out to be a world-beater at this point does nobody any favours and only sets him up to fail, but to dismiss the talent for sniffing out goals that he's clearly demonstrated on occasion for Juve and now PSG (if never in a blue jersey) would be equally foolhardy imo.

Anichebe was scoring crucial goals in European qualifiers when they were about the same age.

Anyway, if he's so great, then there will be a queue of clubs waiting to give us 40 million pound to take him off our hands. Sound!

But in reality, I just don't think that will be the case, and there won't be a queue of clubs willing to pay even 30 million for him.

My main point is don't price him out of a move. We need to sell him this summer!

I think it is probably down to the fact that we can't end his loan midway through to sell him so there is no point for clubs to get in line.

Selling him for less than he's worth is more damaging than keeping him.

Not sure on that, French league is not as competitive as the PL.

PSG have swapped Choupo-Moting for Kean, If he keeps scoring they'll take him. They can rest Mbappe or Neymar against the farmer teams if they have a important CL/Cup game. I'd be really surprised if PSG don't follow up in the summer. Raiola isn't a mug either he'll force him out if other teams are interested.
