....well @Zatara says ‘Keane in on goal is pretty much lethal”. Check out the unbelievable through ball from Iwobi in the Anfield Derby that put him clean through. A perfect situation, only the keeper to beat and he drags it wide of the post.

There’s a benchmark with the best goalscorers; when they have a chance ‘you expect them to score’. With other players, ‘you hope they score’. If Kean has a chance I certainly don’t expect him to score, and he’s also very wasteful in promising situations which you expect a decent striker to exploit.

Folk continually make excuses for his time at Everton. He’s far from lethal.

Their fans seem to really want him at all costs.

PSG have been stuttering along and Kean is the one who has scored the goals while others have been injured.

I think the fee will be £60mil ish but i do think we should try and do a swap with them for a player...not Gana.

I think they will be desperate to keep him...

Mbappe 13 goals
Neymar 9 goals
Kean 8 goals
Icardi 2 goals

If Kean ends up hitting 20 goals and with PSG really being a plaything of the owners I think they will really want to keep him.

Luckily for us, we hold the cards.
60m?

lollollollollollollollollol

I remember a header, six yards out, unmarked against someone (can't remember the team...) - harder to miss, but miss he did. Because that's what he did here - miss chances, walk around, look miserable.
I guess no striker in the history of the world has ever missed a chance.

Strikers miss chances. This is the same type of stuff that has people looking quite silly in the various DCL threads.

When you're hardly playing the misses stand out. He's been an average finisher at worst with PSG and getting into the positions is a skill too, a skill Kean is very good at.

They paid us 30m for a 30 year old midfielder whose skills do not including putting the ball in the net or helping people do that. It isn't that crazy to think a 20 year old who does put the ball in the net might be worth around double that does it?
Well considering they know we want rid, yeah, its mental.

We will get our money back.

...if he‘s expert at getting into great positions and he’s a top finisher his goal return would be far better than 2 goals in 31 appearances.

I’m critical of Ellis Simms and his performance for the U23s the other night, but he does come alive in the box. I‘m convinced if Simms had the same game time as Kean he’d have more than 2 goals and Simms is a long way from being a first teamer.

....but posters say he’s a top finisher but when the clear chances he missed are highlighted there’s an excuse. There’s always an excuse.

The bottom line is he was totally ineffective for us and that is only down to him.
Strikers miss easy chances it's very normal, Some of his finishes at PSG have been very good. I'm not gonna blame Everton for all of this because Kean certainly didn't pull up trees when he was here, It's all good saying he got 2 in 31 games but how many games is a 10 minute cameo from the bench.

Totally ineffective is an exaggeration similar to the one people make about Lookman.

When he comes on and gets yanked after 10 minutes that's an appearance. Context matters.

2 minutes at the end of the game... not really a full appearance though. Really changes that statistic when you look at starts for example. Just saying 31 appearances implies he played 31 games, its a bit dishonest without giving context.
