No to Zaha.

29 this year, enough signing risky players past their sell-by date looking for one big last contract.

Two years ago, sure. Not now.

But who would you get instead tubey. I agree if overpriced swerve Zaha. But if we could get him for 40 million then he would still have 2 years at the top of his game if he avoids injury. And in footballing terms thats actually a long time.

I'd dare say a high proportion of footballers can spend around 2 years at a club before moving on

this is going to be one of those were yes it probably wasn't the right time or team for him here , but we're going to look mighty foolish in the years to come if we let him go (and I'm not even saying that's the wrong thing to do, provided we at least recoup our money)

Leon Bailey for me. We lack pace in a massive way.

I can understand your point, I just feel he wanted to come to Everton and be part of the project with Ancelotti, that’s forward 3 of Richarlison Calvin zaha James Rodríguez behind

Zaha signed his last big contract not too long back which put him on £120k a week for the next 5 years. With that he has put paid to any chances of a move away from Crystal Palace. He is retiring there whether he likes it or not, and it’s entirely his fault.

Just didn’t want to be out of pocket, but I assume the fee would be what we paid plus any wages so at worst we break even on what was a poor signing in the end. Will probably go on to be a decent player and slot a lot of farmer league goals, but just didn’t show anything for us.

For everyone wanting to hold on to him as he’s scoring for PSG, I know we really need another quality striker but just remember this guy was subbed on and taken off for not caring.
