How many good games has James had?
We have spent 500 million and not got a cup or top 4. All clubs need to balance there books surely???
Haha do you not like watching James in the royal blue? If so that’s fine don’t reply because we want different things from watching football.
We spent way too much on mostly crap I agree. However, we have five or six top players now and Zaha would be another for a good 3 or so seasons.
Moshiri has made it very clear he will continue pumping money in so why should we concern ourselves with balancing the books when he’s one of the worlds richest accountants and balancing books is why he’s a billionaire?

James has looked good in 3 or 4 games. We ain't getting in the top 4 if he only performs in a couple more games this season.
We've got a massive opportunity this season but only if our top players like James and Richarlison step up to the plate.
There is better than Zaha. I think he would be another Walcott.

Psg in negotiations to buy for 31m apparently. Would tell them to swivel, if he was a PSG player and someone came in for him having scored 9 goals at 16 at that age they'd be demanding double that. Shouldn't be bending over for any team. A young striker who scored goal is gold dust.
Absolutely spot on this - tell froggy oil well FC to sniff it and cough up some more. If we sell, we have to reinvest this window.

I'm sad with Moise if he does go - I think there's a player in there, and it guts me to see toshun coming off the bench for us, while this lad is out on loan.

yep 50m personally (just to make up for the Siggy transfer) but I doubt they would pay that much for someone who isn't really a star yet, maybe if he keeps going and continues to do well we could get that at the end of the season, which is why PSG want to do the deal now.

But I don't have an issue with him going - because he tried at Everton and didn't really settle, don't think we can have any regrets even if he turns out to be a superstar. Didn't work out here.

It's unfortunate that it didn't work here, I think he struggled to settle and perform. There must have been issues at the training ground too, given Big Duncs public displays of dissatisfaction when he was in charge.

The only regret would be if he turns out to be a superstar and we settled for a profit of 4m or whatever it is that the reported offer would yield.

Take the money. He is not up to it in the Prem. in fact he was very bad. Had enough time to adjust to the physicality. Could be just one of those players that is not suitable to certain leagues or the teams type of play. He was garbage for us and if we took him back I really can't see that changing.

But that means nothing - a players value is determined ultimately by what he is worth to the club -

Zaha isn't worth £70 million but if Palace deem that his price you pay it or you dont

Maguire is a donkey yet Leicester held firm and made Utd pay over the odds

Liverpool are masters of it - they sold a good but not world class player for over £120 million and have just sold some bum from the reserves to Sheff Utd for near £25 million whilst we are happy selling a 20 yr old Italian international with a 1 in 2 record for Juventus & PSG for £31 million lol

We get our pants pulled down in most of our big sales - Rooney £27 million? For Englands best talent in many generations

Arteta - £10 million?

Gana - £30 million

Only Lescott & Fellaini we got a fair price for and Lukaku slightly less than what I would have wanted based on his age when he was sold and off the back of scoring 25 goals that season when he was absolute quality.
How much is Kean worth to us
I always rated him but he has not proven his worth to Everton

True - I think PSG want it doing now to avoid a potential bidding war in the summer as he'll likely keep scoring in the standard of that league with the players he has around him.

For me hold firm and demand £40 million or GTF. I wouldn't be shocked if EFC leaked this story to the media in an effort to try drum up other interest/make PSG agree to more money to get a quick deal done now.
What if POCH does not fancy him and sends him back in the summer
Get him sold now before Poch spends the money on Dele Ali

When he was bad he was very bad
However when he was good he was very good
PSG will pay for the very good
He wasn't though was he? Not for us. I think he only had one game where I would say he was genuinely good - Newcastle at home - and he wasn't exactly amazing. That's not to say he hasn't been very good for PSG, or Juve, or Italy, but he wasn't for us. And that's the issue when it comes to the transfer fee. A club will - unless Steve Walsh is in charge - take into account the player's value to the selling club, not just offer the most they'd be willing to pay. The fact is, PSG know there's a chance that Kean won't cut it in the PL, they know that we know that too. I think we can also safely assume that they know the player (and his agent) want the move to happen, and that he may come back to us and sulk if not sold. They also know that we're hampered by FFP and a £15m book profit would not be insignificant. I'm surprised that people think we hold all the cards here, we really don't.

He was -is good for PSG is what I meant
That is what they will pay for
It will not matter to them that he was poor for us
