PSG are trying to sign him. He previously played at juve? Out of interest “not making at top” - where do you see the top?
30m for a young player with his background and now a proven goal scorer. Martial was 36m + with less goals in France, lacazette at arsenal was 50m +. This is the baseline
How much did he play for Juve and how many goals? He got sold from Juve for less than what we would receive here so he’s hardly made it there and now he’s in France. Your Lacazette comparison just shows the difference between France and England. It’s also a lot easier to score goals when you have Neymar, Mbappe, Di Maria. Veratti and more setting you up in a weaker league. There Is less for him to do and more space for him to do it.

As I said, it’s not that he doesn’t have talent. But he did next to nothing in a blue shirt last year. I’m not one to write him off after one year, but after a poor season, his attitude being questionable, him not wanting to be at Everton. He’s now had a good period in an easier league and we’ve had an offer higher than what we paid. We also have someone scoring goals who has proven he’s ready and has the attitude, physical attributes to make it in the Premier league. I just didn’t see anything to make me think last season that he’ll be fine in time.

It’s a good time to sell if we can make a profit and use that money to invest in somebody who can make a difference now, while we are up the top. As I also said, I also get the argument of trying to squeeze more cash out of PSG. But we would still have to be careful to keep the deal to happen abs also having a relationship with PSG would not be a bad thing.

I also have issue with any professional footballer who is stupid enough to break COVID rules or be half arsed when they have a free pass in life due to their talent and think they’re above it all. Like Kyle Walkers stupidity.

Turning a profit on a lad who doesn’t want to he here, is fantastic for us and we should take that, under any circumstances.

The lad was 19, can’t speak the language left his family behind. Never settled, never showed the correct attitude and missed a guilty edge chance in the derby to make it 4-3, which would have been game on.

Think if the move was in 3 years and he was more mature, it would be fine.

Wish him luck, as he has talent, but we just aren’t the right fit for him.

We quite simply can’t afford to give him the time on the pitch without problems arising. We don’t get enough games where it’s won by 60.
Not the right fit is absolutely the best way of putting it.

I mean that's just ridiculous. You are speaking like Dom is Messi and undroppable. Dom stunk when the league restarted in the summer yet wasn't dropped till the last game. A game in which Kean scored, in fact he has scored every time he has started.
We simply didn't play to his strengths last season, lumping balls to him like he plays the same way as Dom.
Truth is we have treated a young lad shockingly from start to inevitable departure, from Dunc's appalling treatment at United to him being dropped after having a great game against Newcastle.

Brewster 23m
Jordon ibe 17m
dom solanke 25m

moise kean is an Italian international.

me should be selling for a lot more than 31m
But we're Everton, not Liverpool. We don't get top dollar for our youngsters. We only got 27m for Rooney and 80m for Lukaku when both should have been significantly more!

Let's just be happy to get our money back on a monumental flop so who quickly decided he didn't even want to be here.

I do enjoy that we're blaming him in part for a derby defeat in which we got smashed because he didn't miss a decent chance. At the same time most would agree that Gomes had one of his best games in a derby where he missed from 2 yards out which instead of pulling us within a goal would have simply put us ahead.

Still the think the "not a fit" part is more down to circumstance than anything he or we did wrong. He's a striker, we have a really good striker, he's not versatile enough to play elsewhere, DCL isn't either, we aren't going to play two strikers and not have one be Richarlison, the manager doesn't really use two strikers and we don't have enough games to really need to rotate DCL out more than maybe a handful of times all season. Nothing against anyone.

Glad you enjoy it.

What you're doing there mate, is you're forgetting that all three of these are English, and are overhyped as a result.

Not to mention, when you play for a big club, a certain pedigree is expected, and think they're signing quality, when they are not i.e. Iheanacho at Leicester.

Kean is Italian, that's reason to knock £10m off your price. All 3 of those should be less than £10m each, if not under £5m.

Fair point re English premium.

Still feel if we sell for roughly the same fee as we bought that there’s a good chance it’ll come back to bite us. If we can add a percentage of next sale into the deal then could live with it.

You say that as if Dom was the only one not quite firing on all cylinders, most of the team weren't.

To the bolded bit... I refer back to where i literally put in agreement with another poster "Not the right fit" was the best way of putting it. I can't say I ever agree with subbing a sub, particular so soon like that, but ultimately Ferguson asked him to go and run around with fresh legs, and he barely moved. His attitude has been pretty poor, breaking lockdown rules to have girls round and have a party, then snapchatting it (no, the whole "hes not english doesn't wash here). He hasn't helped himself at all. He has visibly sulked on the pitch.

Scored every game he started? Not quite true. Started 6, scored twice (a tap in v Bournemouth in a dead rubber against an awful defence, and the newcastle one where his touch was poor as was the goalkeeping, they still count ofcourse) last season according to the stats I've looked up. 1 in 3 by that logic. Which isn't the worst. As I said, it's not that I dont think he has talent, but in this season, with Richarlison's ability, James Ability and Dom's lethal edge he would not have had huge amount of time to start anyway. The best thing for him was to go on loan and get goals, playing with better players. Who knows maybe he would come back from PSG, not be sold and be much better, with a better attitude, confident. The lad clearly did not want to be here though and if we get a good offer to make profit, moving him out of our league, creating a relationship with a club who may be able to provide a player or two over the next few years AND being able to re-invest the money on someone who is READY to help us compete higher up in the league, then we should take it.

I'm all for having these young prospects getting time on the pitch, being given time overall, developing (DCL is a huge advertisement for it and I was his biggest critic), but we also need players who are good enough now. Like the hype over Anthony Gordon, he looks like he has something about him but in games he's been "okay", not too influential, so if we can give him some time great but the focus while we are flying high needs to be on providing output and delivering results.

If we sold Kean tomorrow for £30-35m, I think that would be good business for an asset who isn't quite with us and we would have assumed to make a loss on.
If we keep Kean and try to bed him in next year a better player, I'm fine with that as well. I'm just not too bothered about keeping him as there are too many question marks on football and non-football issues. He is only young and young people make mistakes, I've made many in my life at 19, i still make them at 29 so maybe he will mature and grow as a person as well at PSG.

We will see. As another poster put, not the right fit is absolutely the best way of putting it, maybe the shape will change in a year.

Joao Felix signed for Atletico for €105mil and didnt do much his first season.

Now he looks like a superstar in the making.

Lacazette, Pepe, Ndombele et all all signed for €50mil+ and needed a season...at least! Kean slotting more than them from mins on the pitch

£31mil lol madness

Not really the point is it, I don't want to be here so you sell me for less than what you could get?

As I said, if moise Kean was a PSG player and had the season he had so far and someone come in for him, you think psg would be like go head give us 30m he doesn't want to be here?

He's on a long term contracts, he's young and he's scoring goals at one of the words best teams ( regardless of what league they are in ) that demands more than 30m
