@davek has a point. If Koeman wants Schneiderlin as a replacement for Gueye during January then fair enough but if he wants to run the two alongside each other then that is a very uninspiring midfield that will look to grind teams down rather than play through them.

They've banked on their creativity coming from further up the pitch, when you've got Hazard Costa and Willian you can play that way. When you've got Barkley Mirallas and Lennon you need someone in midfield who can pick a forward pass. Fabregas has been getting in ahead of Matic at times too recently.

Snides is more number 8 than anybody we have in the squad, he looks for a forward pass and he moves forward with the ball, of course they arent the creative "hub", that will come further forward, from either Ross in a midfield 3 diamond or from the 2 wingers, who wont be Mirallas and Lennon.
