My friend is a huge Saints fan, played for their youth team many years back and still has connections in the club.

Has always stated that Schneiderlin was the best player they have had in recent years. Laughed when Liverpool poached half their squad but left him. He was gutted when Man U got him.

Said us signing him was a game changer for our ambitions going forward.

He is a top player. Surprised Mourinho dumped him, but then he also got rid of Lukaku.

He;s not a top player mate. Look at his CV - it doesnt suggest 'top player' does it?
 

He's top quality. Anyone suggesting otherwise needs a sincere rethink. We have real quality in midfield now for the first time in donkeys. Morgan may well be the best of them. (I still think Gueye, Barkley, McCarthy and Davies are ace though).
 
Schneiderlin is a class above anyone in our midfield. His reading of the game, timing of the tackle and putting a foot in and his range of passing. He barely wastes a pass, if at all and knows what passes to make and when. Gueye runs close to him but doesn't have the passing range that Schneiderlin does and he's a great buy imo.

He's definitely one of those "next level" type of players that we need and it's great that we have him.
