Morgan Schneiderlin

Barry was utterly awful against Spurs mate, when he went off we actually got into the game for the first time, similarly we where in the Derby adn on top until McCarthy got injured - Barry came n and the rest was history as we got dominated subsequently

He isn't one of our better Midfielders, Schneiderlin, Gueye are both miles better than he is now, as is Davies, given a choice between a fit McCarthy and him - is no choice McCarthy is far more useful now.

That puts him down to 4th at best

The entire team plays 10 yards deeper when he's on the pitch, which for our cb's is absolutely horrendous and just tends to follow a pattern of Lukaku becoming very very isolated in those games

I was one of the first to criticise Barry after Spurs mate but bar that he's just fine. He can't play against teams with pace but there's no evidence Walsh is ready to come in and do just that either pal. Let's be real.

I don't want him starting the derby. I don't want him starting too many games but realistically with McCarthy and Schneiderlin out then he's going to be used at some stage.

Well no one now becuse the genius sold Oviedo and loaned out Galloway for a season.

Nice one eh?
Therefore, by your own argument, Baines is irreplaceable at this stage.

So why did you laugh at Morgsgoat's original assertion that Baines is irreplaceable?

It'll be massive if it's positive news on his injury tomorrow, though I highly doubt it. We aren't that lucky.

We never used to be but our injury record has been much better recently (or maybe that's not luck but just the difference in having professionals in charge of our training, coaching and fitness rather than the previous amateur like set up)

Much better this season.

He has but this is a bigger test then those two poor sides he faced, I worry about Jags as much as I do Barry

Emphatically this. Jag's recent run of form has come against a West Brom side with Robson-Kanu up front, and a Hull side missing its deadly Senegalese hitman. Against the vileness his lack of pace would be exposed.

I would play MCCarthy instead of Barry. We need energy against Liverpool and Utd.

This is spades.... need plenty of running .... if Morgan is fit or we play jimmy mac instead of him... this will be literally the only time in my life that I will actually be confident of playing well ( probably still lose to a pen after having two sent off) .... really want to see Davies play... just want to see the look on his face and his passion ( possible red card ?) and would be made up of ross could score a screamer ...
