Stone Roses or Joy Division or The Smiths
Bit early in the day to be drinking pal, The Smiths are brilliant.

Red hot chilli peppers are god awful embarrassments. Imagine being stuck in a lift having to listen to them repeatedly. I’d end up ripping my ears off
My Mrs thinks so as well. I have tried, been to a number of Morrissey gigs with her but no, beyond me how it is so popular.Bit early in the day to be drinking pal, The Smiths are brilliant.
Though Macca was an incredibly good bass player, The Beatles just had a knack of creating a melody that lots of people could connect with, from Kids to Grandad. But it goes beyond that, DG.
Players can appreciate what has gone into a particular piece, how it fits together, etc.. Yes, you automatically dissect songs, which is outwith appreciating them. You can dissect a song by an artist and still not be keen on it. I'm not keen on a lot of Dylan songs, but really appreciate the interpretation of them by The Byrds, or Hendrix's take on 'All along the watchtower'.
Listeners can appreciate what has gone into a particular piece. They can understand and marvel at the beauty of the song. It is this second category, not the first above, which has actually elevated the Beatles to the position they hold in the pantheon of musical artists.
Only decent song they’ve done imo was a cover of higher ground.Red hot chilli peppers are god awful embarrassments. Imagine being stuck in a lift having to listen to them repeatedly. I’d end up ripping my ears off
Ha ha!Can’t say I’m familiar with the music of ‘cats protection league’ got a link? They sound fun mind you
I bought all their albums within a few weeks around the time In Your Honour is was released. I tried to like all of them but I found most of their album were 3/4 good songs and the rest very forgettable.I bet you will be pleased they're releasing a new album this year.
It was McCartney I disliked the most. I'm not sure even Old Blue could say he deserves to be the richest musician of all time based on his musical talent.Agree.But I dont think you can say it.Frowned upon.I cant/couldn't stand any of them.Lennon in particular tit.
I’d say the likes of Limp Bizkit and Korn. Huge levels of popularity in the late-90s but utter garbage

Saved. We were about to tussleThe Liverpool version.
The La's were destined for greatness. I went to see em. In the top 3 of worse bands I ever saw.
