If we're on the money, I'd raid Sporting for 2 more players: Veloso and Izmailov.

Veloso would link with Moutinho in the middle and Izmailov could play on both wings.

We could use Fernandes on the right side of the midfield.

FULHAM are expected to complete the £11million signing of Everton striker Andy Johnson.

The ex-Crystal Palace and Birmingham ace was left out of Everton’s friendly game at Preston last night.

We got linked with Drenthe today. On loan for a full season supposedly. I'd like him here to be honest. He's a good player and would offer us something completely different. We don't have a natural left sided player at the club.

Lucho would be a great signing but I can see him going to Inter or someone like that. I think he's out of our League to be honest.

On Moutinho, has there been anything else in the Portuguese press about him? Do they expect him to leave?

I would wet myself joyously if that were to happen! Im all for Drenthe too, if we had listened to Gaz this time last year before the U21 championship we could have had him for peanuts.

So far, only that rumour about 22.5M offer.

But we'll have to wait, because the release clause is no longer active.

One correction about the compensation due to Moutinho for any offer over 15M. In fact over this value Sporting has to compensate Moutinho for 10% of difference between the offer and the 15M bar.

In this case, if there is an offer of 22.5, sporting will pay 10% of 7.5M, which would be 750k payable in ten installments of 75k.
