Sporting Lisbon defender Tonel hopes teammate Joao Moutinho turns down a move to Everton.

Gone abit quiet, but i thought this was abit significant, surely saying this means that a deal is close? Kind of like the lampard situation at chelsea...

...I dont want to mess this up, and i think we can get him, the only fear i have is someone like arsenal coming in for him at teh last minute

More news on A bola the Portugues news feed - however I can't link to it due to this being first post etc. I've finally cracked having viewed threads for weeks! Transfer rumours are killing me!

I don't know Portuguese, but would guess the first sentence of the new article says 'England is calling for Joao Moutinho'

There's also references to Keith Wyness and Nuno Valente.

That's true veloso it´to childish!! Moutinho is better and he is 2 most young captain in historty of sporting ( we must back to 1909 to see the first captain Francisco Stromp).

They're 2 different types of player - Veloso's defensive and has been used across the back 4 aswell in Champs League matches I've seen whilst Moutinho's usually used in the same way we would use Cahill : end to end but more reliable going forward.

Basically, Sporting won't want to see either of them leave without whopping transfer fees coming in.
 
veloso it´s a young pirlo but more stronger physically all the transitions defense attack go through him.
Moutinho is just like scholes in the golden days, is the soul of the team.
