Hopefully we could sell him on signing a pre-contract and get him for nothing in the summer. The only other team that I've heard are interested in him are Stoke. Wheater and Duffy would be strong back up to Jags and Distin. They're both absolutely massive too!

I've said the same about Commons myself. He can play all the way across midfield. He'd be good backup for a wafer thin squad.

My thinking is that we're so broke that we'd let Lucas Neill go for a mill, leaving us with no cover. By the same logic, we'd chance it that we'd get Wheater for nothing in the summer.

I've said the same about Commons myself. He can play all the way across midfield. He'd be good backup for a wafer thin squad.

Yeah Billy, think his contract expires in the summer as well ! We should do a Beckford ! It's good to pad the squad out with players who might actually play !

It does. He's capable of getting 10 goals a season from midfield and can turn a game. Only 27 too. It's a no-brainer.

I guess it depends how much Moyse wants him and how much the player wants to come. The player might hold out til the summer in order to increase the size of his signing on fee.
