Thing with SWP and all of the Citeh players is....they're on £90k+ a week and have to rely on Citeh paying a chunk of the wage.

Yep that's defo a problem, hopefully City don't see us as competition anymore and will fund half the wages? We really are skint...

Yeah they won't see us as competition anymore ! That's what they did with Jo , paid a decent contribution towards his wages ! SWP or Adebayor or Santa Cruz please !!!

I'm surprised there hasn't been any mention of Blackburn buying Santa Cruz back. I think he's too injury prone for us. Adebayor and SWP would liven us up, providing their attitude was right. The Mirror says today that we can't even afford the wages of loan signings. Now that really is a concern.

I read that today, after I got through the laugh of the Rugby scrum on the Man C training ground. You are right it is of concern and a great worry if true and do we have any reason to doubt that at this time.

Probably not too far from the truth !! I think maybe people need to act and try to force Bill to do something ! It's great that we aren't owned by anyone abroad but we are missing a great opportunity to get into the top echelon ! The is team will disband soon as we arent moving forward just treading water !! Something needs to be done ASAP !

I agree with you. I've been patient and understanding about us not having much money to spend so far, but the problem seems to be getting progressively worse. Our debts are comparatively modest and we've kept a tight reign on our wage bill, so it's difficult to see what's causing it. It does sound implausible that everyone from West Ham to Notts County can attract investment, yet we haven't even had a sniff. Something isn't right somewhere.

That's about the size of it !!

I've always though that Kenwright is holding out for someone with integrity and suitably deep pockets, rather than the first fly-by-night that came along. I'm waivering a bit really. This season aside, we've been in the second tier of clubs with Spurs, Villa and City. We've beaten all the big guns and played some attractive football. It wasn't so long ago that we were seriously bidding for Moutinho. Would that have been borrowed funds? Has our line of credit been cut?

Why isn't Moyes saying 'we need to sell before we can buy'? Why is he instead saying that 'we can't afford to buy'? Are we going to sell people and not reinvest in the team? Why did Baines reject Bayern's overtures, but not the club? Moyes talks about keeping hold of our best players, but we're allowing Pienaar and Anichebe to walk for nothing. It does sound to me that we're not too far from imploding.
