Moyes linked with Villa and Spurs

there is an issue there of course but a lot of the money included in that through amortisation will be gone through the books.

As for the Uefa rules do you really think that they would exclude Real, Possibly Barca and 90% of PL teams ?

Point 1: you're talking as though this is exclusive? Its not. All aspects of the club finances are looked at by UEFA. Including related companies etc.

Point 2: Yes. I'm 100% convinced of this. I would detail why this is so. But its best if I don't post. For reasons you can see above.

I think its time to agree to disagree on all the Villa stuff, time and what happens will prove the leveller.

Either way im 99.9% certain that Moyes will be Everton manager come kick of in Aug - we will prob have Villa at home.

I thought some of our fans were in cloud cuckoo land , if learner was prepared to give a manager he trusts 30 million they wouldn't be fighting relegation and selling all the best players > Barry , Milner , Ashley young , facts our were both selling clubs with worrying debt that's rising without bringing in any silverwear , so why jump out of frying pans into big bonfires

You and all Villa fans are wasting your time obsessing with Moyes mate. Moyes is not and never will be interested in a step side ways which Villa would be in a best case scenario. But atm Villa is in shambles you're losing your best players as we speak and you have been turned down by Wigans manager and i can guarantee you that someone as proud as Moyes wouldn't want to be fall back option to martinez. Besides it will take years for any manager let alone Moyes to rebuild that depleted Villa squad , and moyes have clearly denied any interest in becoming Villa manager and every genuine Everton ITK have squashed this rumor as nonsense.
So do yourself and every other villa fan a favor and start focussing on managers you realistically have a chance to sign.

That's probably your most sensible post to date. +Rep

If that was the case 100% agree

it is not, Barry's money went straight back into the club, Milner's money of course brought Bent, it is partly a sell to buy policy but not a sell because we have no money policy

BTW if at any time you want me to p1ss off then tell me.

My understanding of it is that there's been very little we could have done to stop Barry, Milner and Young leaving. It wasn't a case of us offering these players out to try and reclaim some money back or alleviate debt (which we don't really have as Lerner has taken all of the money from his trust fund so far, no external source that i'm aware of), it was simply a case of a much richer side coming in and offering those players crazy wages and the chance to play CL football much sooner than we could. Not so much of a sell to buy policy, more of a 'sell because the players are kicking up a stink' policy', similar to yourselves and Lescott I suppose.

Anyway, that's besides the point, regardless of whether or not Moyes comes to the Villa, I can't see him sticking around at Everton for too much longer. I think that without serious investment (which you both need and deserve) you've hit a glass ceiling, I doubt that you'll be able to hold on to a manager of Moyes' ability if the bigger (richer) sides come knocking. Just my opinion of course.

You lot have to sell to buy so do we no difference there . we have just finished ahead of Villa 6 or 7 times out of the last 9 years , thats why at the moment Villa is only on par with Everton in a best case scenario. And as i said Moyes won't be taking a step sideways when he one day decides he wants a new challenge , he will be looking for a regular chl club or a foreign gig.

So for your own sake forget about Moyes you'll have to settle for someone else and i advise you to find that guy quickly before other profiles than Ashley Young will want away too

So does evertons money matey , Joleon Lescott money went on = heitinga , Billyaletinov and Sylvain Distin , Rooney money went straight back into the club too , you missed my point fella when top 4 clubs come in for players clubs like Everton and villa can't do anything about it unfortunately , if city , arsenal, United came in for Moyes I'd be worried but Villa have zero chance , it just wouldn't make sense him jumping out of the frying pan straight into the fire , and no I dont want you to [Poor language removed] I have a lot of respect for Villa and there fans , IMO Villa and Everton are exactly the same clubs in all aspects

Therefore, lock the thing, or move it to World Football ffs... this is the worst thread in GOT history.

I think you're correct about Moyes . problem for you is that Villa isn't that (bigger) (richer side) . Villa's squad is in shambles losing players , releasing players left and right , it will take a long time for any manager even Moyes to rebuild your team. I personally think Moyes is staying until he wins a trophy and he isn't far away from doing that . As for the villa rumor it has been very clearly dismissed by Moyes as well as dismissed by all genuine Everton ITK's i know off.

But good luck finding your new manager , i hope you find him soon and wish you lot all the best except when you play Everton ;)
