Why not act quickly, decisively and with some semblance of pre planned purpose ?

So the new manager can get to know the new players and the club. Decide what kinda player he wants, plan for next season etc. Wouldn't be surprised if Stoke appoint someone before us

Or we could rush in and make a massive balls up with it. Depends how negative you want to be.

And who gives a sh*t what Stoke do?

As i understand it with Martinez is that we've spoken to him already but yet to offer him the job. Hardly going to announce he is leaving if he hasnt got a job offer.

Of all the internal candidates mentioned

Stubbs
Weir
Ferguson
Neville
Round

Weir would be my choice, I don't have any massive insight into why, it just strikes me that he has the right characteristic's as a man to do the job

If everton gave the job to weir I would be on the phone to the bookies asking for a double exit (Weir/Bill) special before the end of next season.

I can't believe we are potentially bending over to accommodate Roberto Martinez ffs.

For the first time, I'm actually resigned to it being Neville or Weir.

What?! How exactly are we bending over for him?

Nobody knows what we are doing with regards to they manager. Why just make stuff up in your mind?

It's obvious he hasn't been offered the Job,If he had he'd of either accepted or declined it,
The balls in our court patently,If we offer him it he won't say no.
It's got nothing to do with him pissing us about.

oh I agree there is no formal job offer but you can,t tell me that his agent has,nt been talking to everton for a while now via other informal channels. He might have been given an outline of what to expect if he joined the club and has had second thoughts or some other club has waived something else under his agents nose.

We no doubt have spoken to his agent etc, but we've not offered him the job, as we've not decided who to hire yet.

It suggests that he wants it, but won't jump ship from Wigan until he's offered it formally - which of course is normally how it works, the only reason we're having this conversation, is that Dave 'rent a quote' Whelan has chosen to play his private meetings with his manager, out in public.

The fact that we haven't offered him anything yet, would suggest to me, that we're not overly convinced. I don't think he's Kenwrights first choice now tbh, as if he was I think it'd happened by now. I think he's being left dangling while we consider others.

dont even allow yourself to think about it

Because outside of my own mind, there is three fifths of **** all going on. I'd rather live in my manufactured world of outrage and scandal then the borefest that is actually going on.
