The magic of Google Translate tells me this is the remnants of an interview with Vitor's agent.

The agent says that a decision will be made early next week, that he thanks Porto for giving them time to make the decision, and that what the chairman said last night was correct.

He didn't go on to specifically name Everton, but reiterated that they are in contact with another club.

Kinda sounds on to me.

Hmm I dont like that article, it says when his agent was asked about England he replied something like "we are having private discussions with Porto."

Doesn't sound like it is as "on" as everyone thinks. I still think he will stay at Porto.

Exactly, so why are you pontificating over the rights & wrongs of a decision that hasn't been announced yet?

You have no idea what's going on as part of this process, nor the length of time it's been under discussion.

Put your stones away until there's a reason to throw them, you just can't resist chucking one in the vague direction of the target though can you?

Our board are incompetent and will be handling this situation badly. Anyone believing to the contrary has not been paying attention over the last 11 years.

Man Utd had Moyes announced within a day or so of Ferguson leaving and would have had him lined up for that months before.

If Kenwright does have an actual target in mind, delay risks pissing them off and we then end up with second or third choices. That's the rational concern for fans of the club as opposed to fans of the board.

Ian Walker is better than Martinez.
A bag of Walker's crisps propped up on the bench used as motivation (score a goal and you can eat the bag) is better than Martinez.

http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/vtor-pereira-profile-find-out-1906179 Secondly, Everton's brand of football under David Moyes was most often a rather reactive one. The Scottish manager, now at the helm of Manchester United, preferred to sit deep and compact (usually in two banks of four), and capitalise on the opposition's mistakes.
Executioner's Bong: A feature of our play has been a territorial game plan manifested by a high defensive line meaning we spend a higher percentage of time ( 32%) in the opposition half than anyone in the league.

Mirror 0; Bong 1.

Lol at we're approaching 1000 pages and there hasn't been one significant piece of news to suggest we're even close to making an appointment.

Martinez or Stubbs it'll be.

There's no one happy with indecision, everyone wants the same thing - the right decision.

You're just doing what you always do imo i.e. looking for an angle to have a pop.

It's clear that Everton haven't anticipated Moyes going though, there shouldn't have been a list of 'possible' candidates by now, that should have been way before Moyes left.

Precisely, and that list should not have included the fairground diversion of interviewing "internal candidates".

I would imagine that they are going through processes the same as for any job. It would be rank stupidity to appoint a manager without sounding out all candidates and seeing who is available. Yes I want pereira but if bielsa became available I'd be in like a shot. Still expect someone ****e though.
