I would like Laudrup but I know that wont happen mate the rest of the names make me go Meh

Fair enough. Even Pereira? Winning multiple things in another country that is highly-ranked by UEFA should count for something. More than winning in the lower leagues or getting relegated.

Given that Mackay has zero Premier League managerial experience, that is an impossible question for him or anyone to answer.

In the same way some players can't make the step, some managers can't either.

Obviously a lot would depend on if anyone follows your ex. If you keep your big players, I would expect him to do a similar job. You probably have the 6th best first XI in the league, so there or there abouts

It covers the English league, which we compete in. Incidentally, for a channel for "the English" it also covers Scottish and Spanish football.

Yes mate foreign clubs like I stated before

Its like Ajax change there shirt/badge/name it would hve a little bit of coverage but not much

Im sure there was a 3 hour special S4C

Never heard of the fella up until 2 weeks ago as would be the same for alot on here crying themselfs to sleep at the thought of us missing out on him

Winning the league with Porto is no big thing IMO

They have won the league 19 times since 1990, Its not as if hes gone in and won it with a minnow

Why would you 'expect' that? He's only achieved one thing - promotion from a lower league. As Cardiff will find out next season, the Premier League is a MASSIVE step up from the Championship.

Any half decent manager can get promoted - Warnock did it how many times? Every time he came up, he never lasted long.

Lets see how Mackay does with someone else in the Premier League first. Only then will we know if he's an Everton calibre manager. Maybe he's just a Cardiff-level manager.

Yeah, but I'm just interested in his opinion, given that he seems to have a high opinion of the guy. I'm just wondering if he thinks his manager can make that step up. It's all well and good fighting to keep Cardiff in the Premier league, but we're looking for someone to help us kick on, or at least maintain a top 6 or 7 position. Can Malkay do it, myself guess is no!

The majority here want Laudrup.. The poll at the top of the page !

28.32%:30.36% hardly majority isn't it? Don't forget this poll (most votes are casted) is done about a week ago and people at the time didn't realize we just won't pay compensation for Laudrup.

It's broadcast in Britain. See also the lack of coverage from the British Broadcasting Corporation

Not to mention he has no experience with the most important part of the job as Everton manager, player trading.
