Cos the Porto fans expect him to do well in CL every season but he didn't. He is not outspoken (a dull person?) and not a man they desire (like AVB and Mourinho).

I don't think people on here who like Pereira have been 'charmed', as if they've been conned/brainwashed.

I think they just highly rate the fact he's won 2 consecutive league titles and lost 1 game in 2 seasons.

As opposed to never finishing higher than 15th, just been relegated, and admittedly winning the FA Cup but also only playing 2 decent teams along the way to winning it.

Cos Wigan and Porto are just so the same sort of clubs

Of course they're not the same. One is of a higher calibre (Porto). Which is what we *SHOULD* be looking at. We're Everton, not Stoke City.

The point is, some people acting like Pereira would be bad/dodgy/unproven/his achievements mean nothing.

I'd take this well before any of Martinez' 'achievements' and track record, any day of the week.
