If we are paying £5m for Martinez, why dont we just pay the extra £2.5m and get Laudrup.

Don't think it'll be anywhere near £5million to be honest. He's only got a year left on his contract. Reckon it 'd be closer to £2/3 million after haggling.

I think Martinez is Bills first choice. I know the press have gave different versions but my gut feeling is Bill wsill be saying "Roberto was always my first choice," as they hold the scarf up with that delightful new badge. A brave new era lids :(

......if he decides he wants to leave isn't that between him and his employer. In effect he's a free agent resigning before Everton or any other club make contact. The fact that he's resigning should at least impact the amount of compo that can be claimed.

To be fair, I think he's a better option than most of the managers that weren't relegated.

25 Percent win rate, 70 odd goals shipped, 3 or 4 seasons spent in the drop zone, his explanations for his defeats are comical.

Fkin hell Bill will give him a gold watch for keeping us out of the drop zone.

just because Wigan have been around the drop zone it doesn't mean we would be. We have a much bigger budget. It's like saying Moyes would have Man U around 6th - 8th all the time.
