I think with Vitor, we would stay about where we are, potentially able to push on with some good work in the transfer market.

With Martinez, we would slide a little, but wouldn't be under threat of going down. We'd probably attack the cups hard.

With internal, I could see us in a relegation fight.

Its a difficult one to quantify. He's got obvious good and bad points

It is difficult.

What I struggle with is why people have bought into Dave Whelan's hype? What is it based on? A good manager would have kept that Wigan side up. Relegation = failure. It should not be rewarded with the manager's role at EFC

Relegation has got Whelan as mad as a cut snake. He'll take Kenwright for 5M, you watch.

oddly enough, he might even win more games with better players at his disposal.
You can say that about ANY manager who is currently managing a worse squad than ours. The fact is other managers who haven't even got a mention (Chris Hughton for example) have got more out of their crap squads than the golden wonder Martinez.

Brennan will try and have you believe Wigan have an utter ****e squad that "wouldn't look out of place in the championship", in his defence of Martinez. Which of course is utter bollocks. They have some very good players in that squad, certainly better than Norwich' who managed to finish above them.

I think this is the best point Relegation = failure and nobody who relegates their team should ever be considered for the managers job at EFC FFS!

If that news is genuine, would you pay £5m for Martinez? In fact, we should not pay any compenstion for him if he really wants to join. £5m can buy you a Mirallas, Martinez is not worth it. You can't see us paying £5m compensation for Martinez but we are talking about the broken leg here, he can ask whatever he wants.

I´d rather not pay 5 mil for Martinez but on the other hand if he´s the best of a bad bunch I´d rather we payed than ended up with a miserable internal appointment.

The thing I´d like to hear from fans advocating Martinez is how they feel about his teams defensive records.

Absolutely NO CHANCE Martinez would cost £5m.
The man has one year left on his contract and is effectively a relegated manager. Dave Whelan is truly deluded if he believes any Club will pay £5m compo for Roberto Martinez. Whelan will be lucky to get £2m.

Whelan thinks Martinez is top 6 Euro manager. He is deluded so shouldn't be surprised if he asks for £5m. Whelan may think £5m is a tiny sum for a top 6 Euro manager, he is doing BK a favour.
