but he took over from AVBs team which already had a wining formula.

False story #1. Please read my post 2 pages back. By the way, City had the same team as their winning formula last year. And I don't see Moyes winning the league next year with ease.

can't speak fluent English.

False story #2.

I want Martinez because he has a good footballing ethos and was a former player in England, so he knows the game. He also won the FA CUP and yes he got relegated but Mourinho or SAF would have got relegated in that Wigan team with all those injuries.

Mourinho, AVB, Mancini, Rodgers, ... didn't play in England (or at least in the Premier League) and they seem to do just fine. I don't see how's that even an argument to be honest with you.

And for what it's worth, I don't think Wigan would've been relegated with Mourinho or SAF.

You're welcome. But you misspelled "year". AND PLEASE DON'T SIGN FOR WIGAN, VITOR

I Don't want Periera because I don't think he is proven at the level we need at Everton and in the Prem. Yes he won the league but he took over from AVBs team which already had a wining formula. He doesn't know the English game and can't speak fluent English.

by the way just because i don't agree with your opinion that doesn't make me a troll or a red.

You want Martinez cos you have a big bet riding on it more than anything I'd say.

You just know when Martinez is appointed, Bill will call those fans who want him as being on the same level.
If Pereira had any sense, he would join up with fell country man and manage in if not the best league in the world. Surely AVB and Mourinho will have nothing but good things to say about us, his agent is that of Mirallas.
Im also sure I read that Mirallas is a player he tried to sign and would like to manage ?

So... Pereira winning the league should be dismissed, but Martinez winning the FA Cup should be a key reason in us getting him?

If we're going to be pedantic, I could easily argue Wigan had a pretty easy ride to their cup - the 2 stiff tests they had on paper, their opponents produced one of their worst performances in years.

How can a title winning manager not be at the level required, but a manager who has seen their team get relegated apparently is? I'm well aware of the differences in quality between Wigan and Porto btw; VP did a very good job at Porto, while Martinez has done an average job at Wigan all things considered. Let's not forget he hasn't managed to get this Wigan side anywhere away from the relegation zone. Not even a season of finishing mid-table.

You seem to defend Martinez's record with a somewhat bizarre "if a better manager managed them with all those injuries they'd have still got relegated" which is, to be kind, speculative, while for some reason you disregard VP's proven achievements.

You're quite right, having a different opinion is perfectly fine. But the way you've tried to back up your opinion makes very little sense and appears extremely selective.

I'll go further and say they wouldn't have been relegated under Moyes or Allardyce, either.

Of course they wouldn't have won the cup and wouldn't have played such good football but a proper pragmatist would have kept them up.

It's all speculation, really. We would love Roberto if he finished 17th this year, but finishing 18th makes him crap?
