I flick between indifference to him, but I do think he's a born liar. I work in sales and he reminds me of a few dodgy sales people I've worked with along the years. Mannerisms, over sincerity etc. So yep, I think there was a bit of tom foolery going on here.

I'd have respected him if he'd just said we have someone in mind, but will go through an interview process to make sure we have the best man out there. Or what ever, just not make it's wide open etc when it wasn't IMO

If you want to hear ridiculous, if Martinez name was Bobby Martin and he was from the UK, how many of you would actually be voting for him to be our manager based on a ridiculously lucky FA cup run and a successful couple of seasons at Swansea, where he ultimately left because he said he couldn't take them to Premier league promotion?

Are you serious? As someone has just said he interviewed the top candidates and then chose from there. Surely someone who has actually spoken to the people involved and made an informed choice has a better idea than some fans clicking buttons of people they’ve never met and have only recently found out existed.

The Bobby Martin thing is cringe worthy, and for the record I voted Laudrup and he’s always been my first choice. I posted in one of these threads many Portuguese opinions on Vitor and he’s not that popular over there. Some people on forums seem to have romanticised the man, without actually looking deeper in to his abilities.
