It's also no more than assumptive bollocks on your part too :)

C'mon you have to see the irony in that statement (y)

There's no irony. The process was outlined by Kenwright, so I'm taking that as fact - you're assuming he's lying & that it was all a sham. I have his actual words with which to base my view on, you have **** all but your imagination.

Or it could just be that he's the best option. Quite a leap to determine that it's lying, especially as Kenwright never said he would appoint whoever the fans wanted. He said he would listen to the fans, and seeing as he's interviewed the two most popular candidates (Laudrup was never in the frame) i don't see how he's lied.

There is no candidate wanted by 'most' blues, the most popular option is Pereira but even he only has 38% of the vote, and most of the people clicking his name hadn't heard of the guy until six weeks ago. Laughable to expect he'd hire somebody based on that.

Is Pereira even a 'manager' ? Strikes me as more of a coach, which is not what Everton need. We can't afford to hire a director of football, we need somebody to take the reins in all aspects of the job Moyes did.

I agree. The "I'll listen to the fans" line doesn't mean "we'll run a ballot and appoint whoever comes out on top whatever the cost". It means he'll canvass the fans views and won't rush out to hire a massively unpopular candidate like Benitez. Something other clubs have done frequently in recent years - Hughes to Stoke being an obvious example.

Are you serious? As someone has just said he interviewed the top candidates and then chose from there. Surely someone who has actually spoken to the people involved and made an informed choice has a better idea than some fans clicking buttons of people they’ve never met and have only recently found out existed.

The Bobby Martin thing is cringe worthy, and for the record I voted Laudrup and he’s always been my first choice. I posted in one of these threads many Portuguese opinions on Vitor and he’s not that popular over there. Some people on forums seem to have romanticised the man, without actually looking deeper in to his abilities.

Yes being serious, obviously.

I wasn't a fan of Laudrup either, but I'd have had more confidence in the interview process if he'd been appointed.

Or maybe not romanticising as he had a more successful win percentage in the league than two previous FC Porto managers who went on to have successful PL careers.

They both won European trophies though. VP failed in Europe.

I watched the interview and read the wright up of the interview. I know what he said, you seem to have a problem with anyone who has a differing opinion to you. I can accept yours is different, maybe just agree to accept mine is different to yours

There's the problem then, we all know they make stuff up, remember this just from a couple of days ago?

"Kenwright is understood to have been completely “blown away” by Rangnick when they met in London on Thursday."

Think we can be sure now this article is either partially or wholly made up ballacks.

It has been pretty widely reported though, not just in a few dodgy redtops.
