The Everton board are on their way to Wigan now to try and get Martinez.

Man City always have it in them to **** it up and thats exactly what they did, the same as Everton did against Wigan.

Or in other words, Roberto Martinez' Wigan beat both Everton and Manchester City on their way to lifting the 2013 FA Cup.

Man United fans are gibing it the whole "Moyes has never won anything" but those who know football refer to the constraints he worked under at Everton. The same applies to Martinez and Wigan, they are the smallest club in the premier league with small attendances and a tiny turnover!

The only smaller club to have ever played in the Premier League was probably Swindon Town.

Don't know if this has been posted but apparently Pereira has decided his future but won't announce it until the end of the season.

All I will say is that it was refreshing to see a manager go into a major game and let his players give it a go.

Not saying I want Martinez at Everton, but at least he can't be accused of being a ditherer on the big occasion and putting the frighteners up his own players.

If only he could do it on a regular basis he could be the man for the job.

AF, weren't you against the appointment of Martinez earlier in the thread, and if so what caused you to change your mind? Was it the performance today?

For me it was, yes.

Loads of smaller clubs have won the league cup, the FA Cup is a different kettle of fish.

You can imagine us under Moyes in that game

Hoof balls to Fellaini/Vic/Jelavic and hope we can win the knock ons and the odd corner/freekick

See yer Moyes you ginger loser
