Can someone tell me why Pereira would want and come and manage team that's not in Europe and the owners are itching to sell the best players this summer?

Incredible.

Pure fantasy.

Never going to happen.

He'd probably laugh his bollocks off at the suggestion.

Then why would Martinez, Dave? You are a fan.

He has the backing of his chairman and some decent backing in the transfer market too.

Porto have won 7 of the last 10 titles. They're the big fish despite the other big clubs in the league.

I bet if we put our Everton team in the portuguese league we wouldn't come anywhere near 6th. If you want any proof see our european record against portuguese teams. The games against Benfica and sporting come to mind.

This will go down like a lead balloon... but seriously think we should consider Sam Allardyce.

Why? Because there are no outstanding candidates and he has a proven track record of getting results.

Don't buy all this style crap. Football is about results. He has a win record of over 40% managing mostly with small budgets.

Get Allardici in for a few years to steady the ship and then Nev/Stubbs/Weir/BigDunc can step up.

Mate, i stopped at the daily mail, ill even call into question the viability of Pluri Consultoria. Lol even the mail quote them as some lads from Brazil.

Your also forgetting the likes of the hefty signing on fee he would have got to entice him leaving Ajax - what sane person would leave Ajax for Fulham without getting wedge.

I love the way you hate being wrong and just dig deeper.

Hahahaha Nonsense GOAT

Benfica have won the title twice since 94

Porto have won it 11 times

Porto are the big dogs, Basically you fail to win the league you fail as a manager

This cats done nothing but whats expected

He's done it quite impressively since he didn't have the likes of Guarin, Falcao, Hulk, Peirera like others, I think they got easily over 100m for them 4 alone and he was been given like 8m to spend of 2 seasons.

Benfica were celebrating the league 3 weeks ago, what he has done since is a miracle really, Benfica have been without a doubt the better team over the last couple of years in Portugal league or not.

Also, would he want to come here with our limited budget? Another factor to add to the equation...

Brennan, Bill Kenwright turns to you and says "Why should I hire Roberto Martinez?"

Without thinking, your answer would be........?

Plays positive attacking football, gets his players to perform on the big stage, wants total control like Moyes had, wouldn't run off after a couple of seasons like Laudrup.

Someone has cited the daily mall as a source of info?
OMG

GOODNIGHT

Just a genuine question, are Pereira or Bielsa 'coaches' or do they 'manage' in the way we understand it. Just asking if anyone knows. What we need, surely is someone who has a vision and takes control of the whole club.
