I don't think anybody believes me on Alan Stubbs being the next manager. I've heard it from a confirmed genuine source. The person who told me is family and has never gambled in his life. He put £700 on it because he's 100% certain.

Rich pickings..

Nonsense, 5 clubs in 7 years and never had a good second season which to me shows he has no plan B once found out, add that with the fact that if another (bigger ) club came in for him he would be out like a shot.

Good point, actually. He might end up being one of these roaming continental managers who finish with 20 clubs behind them by the time they retire.

The top 8 of oddschecker make for grim reading, any of those would smack of a lack of ambition, for me if we can get him it simply has to be Benitez, 10 major honors, Local, no compo and surprisingly young, he would do well at Goodison and if anyone can name another manager on that list that you honestly believe would finish above a Everton with him in charge would surprise me.

Dont give a **** about what he has said, done or who he has managed, however I do give a **** about Everton going backwards, and for me we wouldn't with him in charge.

but he once called everton 'small club' blah blah blah

No, Periera has the option of a further year. Jorge is still contracted to Benfica. These where never realistic. We have a guy who used to be in corrie picking our new manager.

Tony Scott of the echo tweeted that he wants to the everton job but the people at everton don,t

Take a good guess who that would be....this is what this club is up against an old man blocking the future.

Why would Mackay be going to finch farm for talks on Sunday? Will anybody be there with everton playing against chelsea?

its not malky mackay , its his cousin milky mackay 'the fastest milkman in the west'. he wants this months milk bill paying. hes been round a few times but says every time hes knocked kenwright has ducked behind the sofa and pretended he wasnt in.

He is really because everything else will remain the same just Stubbs being the face to it all.

I know you are alluding to the Board/money/Bk stuff, or at least I think you are, but the backroom stuff that has been built over the last few years in particular has been a key element in us doing, well, ok, with the potential to kick on to the much loved phrase, "next level".

If it is Stubbs, then at least that will all be left intact, with the same coaches, scouts etc etc in place, as opposed to 25 new faces coming in. (And I know Moyes has already taken one guy to Utd).

Just a thought. It is not just the manager that prepares the team, it is the group behind him. IMO, that group is/was as important as the man in the dugout.
