Look at the state of her. I could do better, in my own head.I've seen far worse!
Ofcourse he was let down by the players and the board.
Van Gaal has had to replace most of the team to get them playing well.
It was always going to be much harder for Moyes and the person who followed him.
Fixed mateIt's like comparing a pork pie to a prime cut of fillet steak. With no experience of either.
. I think the "ego pressure release" has occurred...but I don't thin k it was deliberately planned as such. But, good theory nonethelessI've always wondered if the powers that be at United set Moyes up to fail. Maybe he was a release valve put in place by Ferguson et al to release the pressure of the big egos in the dressing room and clear the way for a more established manager. Possibly too much of a conspiracy theory, and they did give him a 6 year deal. I think LVG will do well there but I think most managers (including him) would have made the same mess of things coming in straight after Ferguson.
There simply is no comparing Moyes to Van Gaal. It's a moot debate. It's like comparing a pork pie to a prime cut of fillet steak.
...“David Moyes is a friend and colleague of a number of us within our club and he was visiting our youth academy and club setup on his way to another location in the US,” Sakiewicz stated. “We played Everton FC in 2011 at PPL Park and since then we’ve had a friendship with David. He is an outstanding individual and we are honored to know him and have an ongoing relationship.”
Sakiewicz has stayed mostly quiet on the coaching search since firing John Hackworth in early June and naming Jim Curtin as the interim.
In an interview with MLSsoccer.com last month, he confirmed that former Montreal Impact head coach Jesse Marsch and former US national-team players Tony Meola and John Harkes were on the shortlist. Reports have also surfaced that former Fulham boss Rene Meulensteen is a leading candidate for the position....
It's where we've been discussing Moyes' sacking and his successor's efforts, no ?Why is this thread being bumped? It's pointless!
