Moyes sacked by United

Was with Philadelphia Union for a couple of matches, but their CEO denies that he's being considered for their open coaching job. Claims that he was "on his way to another location in the United States" and has "developed a friendship with the club after their 2011 match against Everton."

Whatever, mate. Whatever.

New York City FC already have a pretty good manager in Jason Kreis. Orlando City SC currently have Adrian Heath (yes, that one), but I don't know if he'll stay with for the transition to MLS.

Does Moyes living in Florida make anybody else giggle?

What chance does Philly stand in the CCL? I remember Moyes stating he thought he deserved another CL chance, having shown he can manage at that level. Seems like CCL is more or less the same thing.

lol. But maybe Moyesball would work against the Mexican sides. I don't really watch enough MLS/CCL to know.

Seeing those comments about Vidic and Ferdinand and how they only got through 5 videos out of 15 because they didn't agree with him nor like what he was saying has only confirmed that there was serious entitlement and attitude problems with the senior players, and that they were basically against him from day one. The Man City game was the 5th league game of the season. So after 5 games they'd stopped listening to the manager. Disgusting behavior from senior pros.

Moyes holds a significant amount of the blame for what happened during his tenure , but if your senior players and dressing room don't support nor listen to you you will never be successful in management.

It's the managers job to earn that support. If you come in, gut the place and show zero respect for a title winning squad and set-up that has been in place under the most successful manager ever, then you're going to get a kicking for it.

In short, as per usual, David Moyes didn't know how to manage.

He clearly didn't though mate. If he had made radical changes then you'd be right. But he took over a decidedly average squad which had massively overachieved due to arguably the best manager to grace English and world football the season before, which then looked as average and top heavy as it really was and he didn't make the changes needed to fix the huge problems Fergie had left quickly enough. He should have binned Ferdinand as the man was no longer good enough and whilst a senior player was a tit. If anything the man showed too much reverence for the place and players and needed to rip the place apart and give it the rebuild it needs as Van Gaal is now doing. If he had done that then he would have got more time as clearly things were being changed. The issue for the board and the fans was that he had taken the squad that was in clear need of rebuilding and wasn't clearly making the changes needed, instead all they saw was stagnation.

The senior players need to accept that a man coming into a new job after so long with the one manager means there will be changes and a bedding in period. Throwing a hissy because those changes are made and you don't like the man because he took your chips away and not listening to the man after 5 games in is to be put simply unacceptable for someone who has the experience that Ferdinand has.
Imagine as a manager 5 games into your tenure, sitting down with your two most senior players to talk about a 4-1 derby defeat and the areas of weakness you wanted to improve only for them to fight you every step of the way and argue about everything. Badly bollocks that.

He got rid of all of the coaches and brought in his own (thankfully) and decided he'd do the main coaching himself. They're massive changes because those coaches will be the ones the players have the respect for and friendships with, as they work with those day in day out. Didn't the keeper coach learn Spanish to help DeGea, yet Moyes binned him for Woods?

You've just won the league, a new manager comes in who has never won anything, and he gets rids of all the coaching staff and replaces them with people who have never won anything. That's why he lost the dressing room so quickly, you only have to read Ferdinands other comments about 600 passes, and the players not really knowing how they were supposed to play to see why he never got it back.
