Moyes sacked by United

Failure or the risk of failing is one of my biggest fears.

Some people use failure as determination to spur them on others can let it affect them to the point that they are miserable and dejected.

Either way it is not a good feeling to have and despite the things moyes has said about us at the end of the day he is a human being like me and has the same feelings. No matter what anyone says about his ability he will be his own worst enemy and he will have to learn to rebuild again.

I wish him all the best for the future and hope he can turn things around for himself. Fight and strive to be the best. NSNO!!

I hope he never get a mangers job again the beaut

Gotta admit to starting to feel a bit sorry for him at this point. Can understand Evertonians writing him into their bad books for his conduct over the summer, but I still respect the fella for the work he did at Everton and to see it go so badly wrong for him at Utd has a tinge of bitter-sweetness about it.

They'll have to get a big name in i think, as they don't want to end up looking stupid if they get another 'gamble' in.

If they hire Klopp and even he can't get Buttner, Welbeck, Evans and Nani etc to finish top 4 then the board can say 'hey we tried our best'.

Also they'll probably have to pay a stupid amount of money to get such a manager. Then there's the Moyes compo, I know they're not short of money but the more they waste the better methinks.

They've got the basis of a decent side:

_________De Gea
Rafael Smalling Jones _____
________Fellaini
Januzaj _______Mata
_______Rooney
______Van Persie

Van Persie was a massive factor in why they won the league last year but he's possibly gone into sulk mode about Moyes pushing him too hard and playing him when he wasn't quite ready to return. And for some reason RvP's relationship with Rooney seems to have deteriorated and now they hardly pass to each other.

The positive spin on that is that Rooney could play in his preferred position up top, which allows Mata to play in his preferred position behind the striker and then either Kagawa or a winger can come into the side.

Fellaini was never what they needed. Moyes is afraid to play him up front in case he's accused of turning United into a route one side and he doesn't have the engine, the pace or the reading of the game to cover in front of the defence. Neither does he have Gerrard's passing range and vision to play like a quarterback. A more progressive manager might think of converting him to a centreback and flanking him with Smalling and Jones.

Davey has mentioned in the past that he wanted to coach in Germany at some point. Maybe he'll do what McLaren did and rebuild his reputation abroad before coming back and taking over someone like Celtic or Newcastle?

Their backline is quite not up to the standard for a top 4/5 side. Jones and Smalling in CB will be destroyed fairly often.

No side in the top eight in the Premier League would touch him with a barge pole. Best he can do now is Newcastle.
With his eye for a bargain you can bet Ashley is thinking he would be a good choice for Newcastle. Probably do a good job early on with little money there too as we know.

Cannot see the geordies wanting him. They have visions of grandeur and a manager with a proven track record of failure at 2 bigger clubs than them when it comes to trophies means the natives will view him like Big Sam. Norwich or West Brom though are realistic if either survives.

I really don't feel sorry for him at all. He has earned many, many millions from football without any genuine success to his name. He will live in luxury for the rest of his life even if he never gets another job, in or out of football. He can earn very good pocket money doing the odd turn as a pundit, while many others with equal or more talent will earn a fraction of his money at grass roots or in the lower divisions. He thought he was better than he was...the one failing that always comes back to bite you in the bum.
