Moyes sacked by United

He goes tomorrow, nearly 12 months to the day he accepted the Job, depending which version you choose to believe,

United fans seem to think that they'll get away with paying him 1 year's wages (£4.5m?) in settlement rather than the remainder of his 6 year contract. Along with the loss of CL money and having to spend big on Fellaini and Mata it's looking like being a very expensive season for the Glazers.

Some are talking about putting Giggs in temporary charge too, which would be another ridiculous move.

So how many managers have lost their jobs at Goodison?

Who was Chelsea manager sacked as he got on the bus. Was it Ranieri.

He was never a Man U manager, Fellaini was never a Man U player. We all knew it. We've moved on. Welcome to Blackpool Davie.

He was as much a "Man U manager" as Dave Sexton or Big Ron were.

Fellani is as much a "Man U" player as boys like Cleverly, Fletcher or Anderson are.

Or Djemba Djemba was.

In fact, the big lad is a better player than any of that lot and fifty more of these mythical "Man U" players I and others round these part could name.

That's the whole problem with United fans.

They have this romanticised version of their club.....never thinking that before Fergie they were like every other club.....with their peaks and troughs, just like Everton, Arsenal or Liverpool.

Manchester United fans are the Rip Van Winkels of football.

They fell asleep toward the end of the last century and had the longest, sweetest dream in English football history.

But now they have woken up in another century and don't recognise the landscape around them.

They can't play Moneyball with Chelsea and Citeh (Citeh, FFS.....how ridiculous is that for the K Stand boys to contemplate?).

Everton have at long last emerged from a two decade long hiatus.

And worst of all the RS are poised to claim the league title.

It has all gone Pete Tong......

I read that there was a clause in the contract, if he failed to qualify for the CL he only got one years payout. It'd make sense, this weekend it was made mathematically impossible to finish 4th, and coincidentally the Glazers were in town.
