....and he made a right mess of it, I can now only get channel 7..........

Given that Meulensteen could not handle the comparative rubber duck that Fulham is, I think he should perhaps steer clear of the boating analogies.

Meulensteen's comments really are beyond parody.

Like The Moyesiah, he truly believes all the hype printed about him in the press.

And that hype just shows how vacuous the lazy sports hacks are.

Fulham Sussed the bugger out right away and tried to remedy the problem by adding Curbishley and Wilkins to the mix.

Jesus wept, what a trio.

Yet still the press want to big this bloke up.

It really is a circus.

This is very true, but Moyes didn't manage the ground, nor the commercials, nor most of the PR. He managed the training and preparation of a football team exactly as he had done at Everton. So this Yacht/Liner crap is just that. It's not even as if the players he had were world class, most of them would not get into the current Everton side. They, the media, the management and the fans are truly smoking something if they really believe that putting out a side for Everton, Liverpool, Spurs etc is any different to putting one out for Utd.............

Great post.

At the end of the day it is eleven men being deployed on a piece of grass to outplay another eleven men.

And the self delusion of all connected with Manchester United that somehow they transcend this basic truism is going to be their undoing.

I don't like all this player power stuff but still makes me laugh that one of them shouted 'Send him off' when Moyesie was arguing with the 4th official in Greece.
I've he'd have said that to Fergie or the likes of Clough, he'd have been lamped in the changing room and that's exactly what Moye's should have done.

The "Class of '92" are obviously going to have an emotional impact with the fans and that could lead to some very strong performances as the season draws to a close. The danger is that emotion and these kind of surgs are not sustainable. See Di Canio at Sunderland and, more pertinently, Kenny at Liverpool. Instant reaction. Great swell of support. Positive results - then the dip.

P Neville has gone down even further in my estimation, what a rat
How come lid?

Although rubbish, and very much a yes-man, he was nothing but professional when he was with us. We all knew he is a Manc and a United fan, but he took our club to his heart and I have no doubts we're easily his second team now.

Can't blame him for jumping at the chance to go back to United!

I don't think that is his reasoning.

It is the fact he is stood there posing like Brutus might have done witt Cassius et all back in Rome on the Ides of March after the man whom fetched him back to his beloved spiritual home had been stabbed in the back by the lowlife who would be King of Old Trafford.

Let's face it.....Fergie wouldn't have been bringing him back as first team coach.

I bet if Moysie sees that photo he'll be thinking "et tu, Pip...."
