Moyes to Sunderland

I accept Moyes had his moments at Everton, but I can't forget=

Losing to Chelski in the final, losing to the RS in the semi final, the last derby debacle, and his sudden amnesia when he left us for Manure.

I'm sick of saying this, but he will end up back at P.N.E, where I am sure he will be a great success.

The game has changed so much since 2007/08/09 when Moyes had his most success. He hasn't changed one iota in his style of management and low and behold, not he's not getting results. He's a dinosaur incapable of developing new ideas whereas only 10 years ago he was seen as one of the freshest and cleverest managers around.

Not even been bothered to check the footy after that today until now, but FFS that's hilarious.

Leicester, Hull and Palace all win, with Swansea or Boro to play tomorrow and poor old Moyesie gets snotted again.

How he's avoiding a lynching there I dont know.

I guess its like being in an abusive relationship being a Sunderland fan Dave. After years of it, you just either give up and live with it, or do one.

You certainly end up caring, either way.

Moyes has sickened even Sunderland supporters: a battle hardened relegation support base who usually breeze through the final quarter of the season knowing they have fight just enough to get out of the mess. Moyes and his friends in the media have flanneled them this time though to accept 'fate'.

It's genius really. If Moyes gave as much time to coaching well as he does to cultivating his own hinterland of media supporters Sunderland would be mid-table.

Aye, they are used to it, no doubt.

I certainly dont think Sunderland fans hold any candles for Moyes, but they also know the problems at their club run far far deeper than him.

They could have given them a chance by sacking him. I'm baffled by the decision not to. Why wouldnt the owner/chairman take that step this season when they have in the past?

It's very strange.

I guess we view this from a perspective of seeing him at first hand, good, bad, and ugly, for over a decade.

The outside football world/club chairmen, look at what he "Did" with Everton, and believe he can rinse and repeat with them.

I can, from their POV, how attractive that could be. The painful reality looks the polar opposite atm mind.

Go back to his first press conference as the Black Cats manager.

Negative, pessimistic, and resigning himself and the club to relegation.

He did, was scared when he left that we would struggle. Hindsight is a wonderful thing. Didn't he used to say that if you leave Everton you are poorer for it. Should have listened to his own words.
Semi sarcastic m8. An unmitigated disaster at Sunderland where he's sucked any longer out. Also, whilst responsible for somewhat reviving us, the mental block against too sides became embedded with him and his record shows it.
