Moyes to Sunderland

3 wins in the last 4. Think he may have finally drilled them into a unit.
If things continue as they are, it'll certainly put the question back onto Man Utd, as to whether they were merely a bunch of cosseted wimps who didn't like to work hard for their victories. I dunno how Ferguson managed to motivate them without having to work them hard, but they really didn't seem to like having to sing for their supper under Moyes.

Doesn't explain Sociedad, mind.

Although he didn't score, he was named MotM by the BBC...maybe he's realised, finally, that you have to do more than stand there being big and wait for the ball to be put on your foot.
Having said that I've seen him score many different types of strikers goals...just not enough of them.
If he keeps putting in MotM performances and chipping in with 10 or so goals, he might make room for Defoe to get the rest.
IF.

disclaimer; I don't mind Vic, there was always a player in there somewhere, that Nolan tackle did him no favours.

Always thought he had it in him, but totally lacked confidence and self belief. Would always beat himself up after evey mistake and it affected his game. Then again a critical crowd ready to get on his back was part of the problem. The Sunderland fans seem to love him and he is responding to that, hope it lasts.

I know about 4 or 5 STHs at Sunderland, and every one of them is raving about big Vic atm.
He has every physical attribute you'd want for a PL striker, yet he's never really done it until now. I hope he continues in the same way. Much prefer Sunderland to the mutant Newcastle lot.

Sociedad was a dificult job in a country playing a very different style of football. It was never going to be easy for any manager.

Despite being in the premier for what seems a lifetime, he's only 28, and I genuinely hope he can maintain what he's doing at Sunderland. Yes he was a bit of a sulk sometimes, but I always felt there was a decent player there.
