MOYES, YOU ARE OUT OF ORDER

The reaction of the crowd at the Wigan match set the tone for the future.

Moyes stated that he thought we were Booing the substitution of Fellaini, whereas we were booing the player for a cba attitude & performance. He gave a look to the St. that he had given before when subbing a fwd for a defender and it was met with boo's. He kept schtum whilst still at the club but now he couldnt give a flying if he undoes anything he had done before as he will see it as revenge on the fans that booed.
This not a man that forgives, forgets or accepts any kind of criticism.

Spot on that mate.

I have to laugh now at the thought that this feller also set himself up as king maker too. He had the nerve to hang around trying to shoe-horn one of his proteges into the managers job after he'd run his contract down and frigged off.

Then he comes in a month later to reward his 'special club' by asset stripping it with a pisstake move for Baines.

I think some of the Moyes bashing is a bit over the top. He did a very good job in re-establishing Everton after many years of crap and bought some really good players for the club whilst building a good team spirit.

My problem with Moyes though, is that it is now very clear all along that Everton were only ever going to be a stepping stone to him, and he dug his heels in for the long haul IMO to show longjevity and loyalty, as a way of securing the Man U job, which was always his ultimate goal. We thought he was one of us, he wasn't.

I among others have queried over the years why he never, ever rocked the boat, especially when Bill and the board were doing all they could in the financial department to undermine his good work by not giving him the funds to progress the team, especially when we were so close to breaking the top 4.

Well it look very obvious now to me why he didn't ever come to loggerheads with the board. He had a plan, he is very professional and calculating and he saw his plan through.

Man U was always were he wanted to end up, he said so when he was manager at Preston.

I think some of the bile being thrown at Moyes in this thread is cringeworthy.

Most of it is coming from those who had a long standing agenda against the man & are taking the opportunity to stick the boot into his integrity post his departure.

He's gone, we've moved on, leave your trenches ffs.

The problem was in 11 years he gave us 60% good service & no trophies the rest was mediocre hoof ball fans were complaining then about DM -not just now!

Which is exactly what I meant about the cult of personality around him.

"The People's Club", "In Moyes We Trust" blah blah - a complete illusion.

Don't get me wrong, I don't blame him in the slightest for bidding for Baines or trying to make the best out of his professional career - but it DOES get on my nerves that our fans buy into it so easily due to a ingrained need to feel like a big club, when the truth of the matter is that we actually are a big club.

Moyes was never one of us. He didn't get it. Joe Royle, Howard Kendall etc. were but not Moyes.

We are not a big club. Instead, far, far, far from it. We don't have the "oomph" necessary to make ourselves fashionable, and probably not in at least 10 years.

I mean, even Leeds United are Immediately a bigger club than ours if they can get back to the prem.

I should be annoyed at this post, but to be honest I'm just laughing at it.

You don't know which way is up if you truly believe that - crass and idiotic.

Oh dear.....is that the Leeds Utd who by the end of last season were pulling in fewer than 20,000 a game..........who have been out the top flight now for 9 seasons...............who never won the League before 1969 or the FA Cup until 1972................who are just as financially constrained as we are.......that Leeds you mean, bigger than Everton Football Club, behave.
