MOYES, YOU ARE OUT OF ORDER

Oh dear.....is that the Leeds Utd who by the end of last season were pulling in fewer than 20,000 a game..........who have been out the top flight now for 9 seasons...............who never won the League before 1969 or the FA Cup until 1972................who are just as financially constrained as we are.......that Leeds you mean, bigger than Everton Football Club, behave.

Truth is regular blue-collar attendances means very little to club finances now - in the order of 10m-20m a year tops.

Liverpool is running on something like a 150-200m budget. In which the value of blue collar attendees are mainly for filling up their kop so they have some soft power available. We have, pretty much, nada.

The Real deal is the prawn sandwich brigade and global marketing. I mean, I still see an equal amount of Everton and Leeds shirts where I live even I know they have been relegated for ~10 years. I can see them become fashionable again once they got themselves back on track. And they certainly sell more prawn sandwiches than us having no reasonable competitor around, instead of us who got a gigantic marketing magnet opposite the park.

As someone who never saw Moyes as a paragon of virtue, I can't say I'm too surprised to see him acting like a bit of a snide.

I found it difficult to like him from the moment he appointed Phil Neville as captain.

Sure you're not confused with Brighton?

They've got a Prom and everything, cockneys go there for days out .... they'll be fckin' huge according to your thinking.

Truth speak

Its not hysteria its fact that DM shafted us and BK was culpable in letting him do that, he should have never been in charge for the last 2 games as for getting after Baines before he was officially off the payroll is a disgrace , and I would like to point out he had the support of most blues fans but some fans were critical of hoof ball - substitutions, tactics, sitting back to hold a 1-0 lead etc he was not 100% a favourite of all the fans - only last season he produced in the first half of the season fluent attacking football with any consistency - his record in most big games was poor - he never won us any silverware yet adorned by fans who have not seen the 1960/70s teams & the 1980's teams - not by my brother who will now return to see the blues this season as he could not stand his brand of football! Harsh a bit, but yes he punched us above our weight, but the style of football at most times was dross!

Actually its opinion.

Fact he was overpaid - fact he declined to sign his contract with poor excuses = fact no compensation to the biggest club in the prem - Fact he put in a bid while still officialy on Everton FC payroll - lost any respect for him !

How is it fact that the he was overpaid?
How is it fact that being overpaid is shafting us?
How is it fact that his 'excuses' were in fact... not fact when its all based on guesses?
Why would he sign a contract he didn't want to, that would alienate him from potential employers just so the club got some extra money... or more likely Moyes for longer, if he was unsure whether he wanted to stay?
Bid's a poor show imo, but to many its just a couple of days early and inevitable, its what most managers would of done when they left us for United, Moyes jumped the gun though which was out of order.
I'm sure you have lost respect for him, I did over the Baines bid, but none of that list makes Moyes shafting us a fact mate... just saying. Its all just an opinion.
Its not my opinion though, despite the Baines bid, I don't think he's shafted us at all... In fact the opposite.
I think from when we arrived compared to when he left, we are a far better outfit and we've all benefited from his time here, including Baines... who he bought for less than he tried to buy him from us for.
See even at his worst he's making us a profit.

Martinez has been given a far better squad to start from than Moyes had and that is thanks to Moyes and no one else. Shafted us? not at all.

Actually that's still opinion and not fact at all. Not only will he still have Mirallas, Jags, Gibson, Coleman and the likes... he'll have a huge amount of funds to spend from the sale of the two players you mention.
