MOYES, YOU ARE OUT OF ORDER

Moyes was no fool though & all he did was run his contract down. I'd have had less respect for him if he'd have signed a new long term deal whilst having no intention of seeing it out, I think it's ridiculous to moan that he didn't sign a new deal solely on the basis that we didn't get any compo. Most of those moaning that he didn't put pen to paper are those who wanted him to do one anyway ffs!

The Gordon Lee comparison ignores the massive difference in where we stood as a club then compared to when Moyes arrived btw.
He was identical to Gordon Lee e.g. no trophies in fact Gordon Lee had us on the same level imo and most fans hated him for it as nothing but the best will do meant something then! Gordon Lee was sacked that is the only deference if you think BK knew nothing of United's approach earlier than was reported then you are naïve - in BK trying to hold him he let the club down ! are you not telling me stubbs and round could have not taken over giving BK more chance to search for a new Manager?

What's not to like ?

We've got rid of the culture of cronyism "you don't need to answer that, you're Bill Kenwright", bipolarism, favouritism (Osman, Neville etc), and deference (no wins in 500 league games away to the Sky 4).

Happy days.....

This is statement is very misleading. In same way as news papers use relative statistics to make something sound much worse than it is. 75% rise in homicides this year in City A.... instead of saying there were 7 murders this year as opposed to the 4 murders last year. It's very easy to make statistics sound far worse than they are.

How many of the last 500 league games were away to the "Sky 4"? And out of those games how many have we gotten points out of? How does compare to Spurs and Villa, the two teams that would've been performing at a similar level to us in that time frame?

How long had it been since we had beaten Leeds away before Rooney scored that goal for us back in 03?

You know we haven't beaten Accrington Stanley home or away in the last 500 league games either...

These are the Sky Sports type statistics. Now I'm not saying that we have a good record against these teams... what has it been.. 20 years since we won in old trafford? For Villa it's been 30 years. Bit of perspective lads...seriously.

For one, I think it was a touch of sarcasm inasmuch as it FEELS like 500 games since we won away at one of the Sky 4. And we did win at Villa at the start of last season. A pretty convincing 3-1 win as well

This thread is priceless, great for a laugh cheered me up no end.

Really looking forward to getting this season underway so we can actually find out what does happen rather than all this pointless conjecture.

What it has brought home is how utterly clueless some of our fans are and that is nothing to be proud of.

What's the difference of what Moyes done to what Martinez is doing?

Well, for one, the 9th post of this thread:

At wigan whelan stated that martinez was welcome to come back for his old players effectively green lighting at us the exact opposite was said.

You reckon he is planning on handing in his resignation in that case for a manager to take over whose actually won something in his career and is up to the job

That was proven by the Kirkby vote, then the outrage over the Blue Union raping Kenwright by taping a meeting he'd agreed could be reported on.

If Moyes signs all these ex-Wigan players we are signing. Imagine the amount of stick he would get.
