MOYES, YOU ARE OUT OF ORDER

He was first available at the time of us signing Beattie at 6 million for 1 million, but was scoring so much just afterwards his value went up thanks to dithering DM!

Beattie joined Everton on January 5th 2005 for £6m
Ashton joined Norwich on January 10th 2005 for £3m

£2m rise in 5 days is quite impressive.

I'm amazed people are defending him. Retread the article, then swap Moyes for Dalglish, imagine Kenny worrying about wearing the wrong trousers. How we'd laugh. I know he's gone, and I couldn't give a stuff, it's the evidence of his mindset that is hideous, he is so utterly craven.

Half of the people who are so utterly disgusted at Moyes' conduct are the very same people who were ready to boot him out after every defensive sub or bottled cup-game.
Behaving like an insecure girl* who dumped her boy just to see him come out of it with an overwhelmingly more attractive new girlfriend, and her flaws become quite clear to see.
As far as I could see, in the 11 years Moyes spent with us he put 100% of his energy into Everton Football Club. He batted his eyelids at no other club and did a fantastic job for us, short of winning us any silverware. He's gone to United, which is the hardest job in world football as far as I'm concerned, and he's going to have to win over those fans very very quickly. As such it doesn't shock me that he'll be trying to regale them with stories of him and Fergie to build up a bit of a mythology. I sincerely wish him the best of luck. I would love him to come out of this as the great manager everyone always said he would be 'had he had the resources available to him'.

*albeit one with magnificent history, brilliant culture, and excellent fans :)

Best post on here

It's f*cking trousers ffs. It was clearly an off-hand comment. Just read that post back ffs. It's completely ridiculous. No one would laugh even if it was Kenny as it's completely irrelevant to everything in life, not even slightly amusing and no one else is remotely arsed.

Irrelevant to everything in life? What utter nonsense. He's made a right twt of himself, and as Everton manager it's right that people are not happy about it. You are? I couldn't care less

Haha that post is a stinker & driven solely by your bitter bias against the man. Truly sad IMO.

As upset as some fans are including me over DM way of departure -some stated it was a known fact he would be the next successor to SAF - I reiterate my main point if that was the case even more so for BK & the Board to ultimate or put in any contract that compensation of x amount had to be paid to our club - the fact he made feeble excuses from December 2012 not to sign one they should have sacked him over that point! In DM case he finally after 11 years did get a team to stop hoofing the ball to play good football in the first part of last season he had his critics and his lovers BK was his biggest fan , but as the old saying goes "you can not let the tail wag the dog" this is what BK and the board did - a quote early on from BK I would not sack DM if he got us relegated??? - The story is now emerging as a club we have been taken for fools no compensation from the richest clubs in the UK - and all the backroom staff - Its a new era and lets hope Martinez can take us a step further than DM ever could and win a trophy!

So on one breath you're moaning that we never got any compo for him & on the next that Kenwright should have sacked him when he stalled on signing a new deal........right oh mate.

Why not? look I have seen the blues since the early 1960's I have seen Managers come and go - have you heard of John Carey got sacked in the back of a taxi out of the blue - no chairman should suffer fools, but if your chairman is a fool that's were the problem is! DM was just a glorified Gordon Lee who the fans in that era disliked mainly!

Moyes was no fool though & all he did was run his contract down. I'd have had less respect for him if he'd have signed a new long term deal whilst having no intention of seeing it out, I think it's ridiculous to moan that he didn't sign a new deal solely on the basis that we didn't get any compo. Most of those moaning that he didn't put pen to paper are those who wanted him to do one anyway ffs!

The Gordon Lee comparison ignores the massive difference in where we stood as a club then compared to when Moyes arrived btw.

What's not to like ?

We've got rid of the culture of cronyism "you don't need to answer that, you're Bill Kenwright", bipolarism, favouritism (Osman, Neville etc), and deference (no wins in 500 league games away to the Sky 4).

Happy days.....
