My understanding is that their 'bid' to buy Spurs would involve a massive leveraged buyout, they don't have 3.5 billion pounds worth of change in their pockets. Whereas the proposed purchase of 25% of Everton for circa 100 million would not involve leveraged funding.
Yes let’s see which club finishes up with the American money.

It's a non-starter because of our league position. Otherwise, it's a very good deal for everyone involved, imo
A good deal is only a good deal if its profitable, since moshiri has demonstrated he is a master at losing money nobody with sense is going to risk 100m on him.
I do agree the league position makes it hard for this story to have been realistic in the first place.

Mad that levy in he. Don't get how he thinks spurs are worth 4bill or whatever.

Amazing stadium and a few class players ( most of which are coming to their 30s )

But they don't win trophies, aren't in the UCL every season and looking like won't be this season, how in this earth has he come to that value?

Think the Chelsea has inflated club prices and Spurs have the stadium debt (could be wrong). So don't think it's too wide of a valuation

It would be an investment in Everton rather than Moshiri. There is a significant difference between the two, especially when the investment is for a minor stake hold. If our PL status wasn't in real jeopardy, it would be a great deal for the investors imo.

You say its an invetsment in Everton, but Moshiri owns it, so you are investing in him, and trusting his ability to run a club, which as we have seen is terrible.
Also a minor stake hold is the problem, it means little, you have no say in anything and are stuck in the background, who is going to do that ?

Entities that are okay with somebody else being responsible for the losses. It's the modern day equivalent of Robert Earl's 2006 investment in Everton. Back then, you could easily have said that Earl was investing in a moron named Kenwright that owns a business that never pays dividends. Yet Robert Earl made a pretty penny when he sold his shares in 2016. He bought 23% for around 7 million in 2006, and sold them for around 43 million ten years later.

They won't know if they are interested in Spurs or not, if they are we are done
Seems strange one minute getting 25% od Everton for 100mil to then buying spurs for 3bil

Buy Everton for 400mil would make a lot more sense, I get they’re in London have a new ground, part of the top 6 been in the champions league quite a bit over the last few years. But over 3 billion for spurs is madness.

Yeah thats because the value of the club went up from when Earl bought in, if we go down the value of Everton goes down, for Earl it was a good investment, likewise if Moshiri was to sell for what we are worth now it could be a good purchase if you can turn it around, are MSP really going to risk 100m on Moshiri turning us around? No chance

If would make a lot more sense to buy Everton but maybe Moshiri wont sell, letting 25% go is nonsense.
If they buy Everton for 400m and play the long game right it could be worth it
The problem with buying Spurs is they dont have to sell, they hold al the cards, so it will cost more then it should.

We are on the same page when it comes to recognising that the currently perilous state of the club will scare off investors. I just think it would be a good deal if the club WASN’T at risk of its first relegation in 70-odd years, and that it would be a good deal should we avoid relegation. I also think that the ownership of the club is going to change relatively soon, relegation or no relegation.

According to papers today MSP Sports Capital are launching a 3.5 billon bid to buy Spurs.

They have recently been in talks with Moshiri about Everton .

Moshiri is going to drag us down even further.

That is not true, spurs on paper better offer, no big debts like us.

If not Moshiri were would we be now, stuck in a dilapidated GP under a self important chairman. Have you any ideas were we would be then still fully under BK and no Moshiri ?

But on paper we don't seem to be a "good" product.

Spurs is not owned by Levy but some American oligarch.
