And that’s two great examples . Newcastle have Owners with money , a steady plan to expand and a decent stadium .
And Brighton too, as I said earlier they’ve done it with a great Owner/Chairman and a superb CEO . If MSP can provide the direction like Brighton have I’ll be more than happy , then we move into the “ Newcastle “ stage, but itll take time.

Well it took Newcastle 1 year. So it can be done. It's about ambition and competency. Do any new owners want it enough?

This is just excuses.

Under Moyes we seemed to regularly finish 6/7th and up regularly. That is a minimum expectation. Dont talk to me about things getting better if we cant match that, and emulate what Moyes did or the mighty Brighton are doing.
We would need a complete restructure from the top down to match Brighton. They are the polar opposite of us right now.

The thing is Newcastle were financially well setup to spend as Mike Ashley was tight.

Anyone coming in has such a mess to sort out before they could start spending, whoever that is needs to be competent as you say and hopefully long term grow our revenue. So as always we’ll need more patience and with their connections MSP look ideal for this, but time will tell.

A Newcastle couldn't happen with us with the historical numbers on our FFP. One of the reasons they got picked is the previous years Ashley had spent barely anything so they had bags of wiggle room.

It COULD happen in a few years time, with all the belt tightening we're going through we'll reset the FFP, plus the stadium giving us the infrastructure and revenue to build on. At that point (if we get there safely) we'll be a prime target for a big investor to come in and have a big push. Going to take time though.

We'll just have to wait and see...and if am wrong we can all come back to my post and laugh at the complete hyperbole of it.

If we cut our cloth accordingly we will be ran like a mid table team, hoping that the stars align and we get a decent manager and half decent team at the same time to perhaps trouble the top 6 for that final place.

The real question will be how much income the new stadium generates to how much we have to pay back, if we can boost the coffers by 40 million then it's basically the wages of 5 or so players. That kind of number is reaching but if we could get those sort of figures you would hope that'll make inroads on our current mid table rivals. Finish consistently ahead of those and we should find sponsorship a bit easier to come by and so the snowball continues. If that happens though it will be because of Moshiri's vision and not MSP. We just need a steady hand on the tiller to make use of the vision, which we have to hope MSP can be.

As I understand we should be looking a lot better for P&S at the end of this financial year as the last big loss drops off. That is of course we make ends meet by not going too crazy in this seasons transfer windows, which to be fair doesn't look to be a problem at the moment!

there is a lot more money and volatility in the PL than in those days, I don't think you will see good managers taking good teams to that kind of consistent result again in the PL until the landscape changes again.

Any one buying in to Everton, is hoping for PL safety and the stadium being finished. The value for a sale will rocket and we have to hope its someone with spending power.

There is no other reason people would invest at this point. And no one will pump money in to us until we become a 'project' once safe and with a show piece stadium.

They have contacts, you can’t seriously think they wouldn’t pull a better sponsor than a bleeding crypto betting company? Or organise a merch deal that would be better than Fanatics?

You build your business off the pitch to get the revenue into the club to build a squad that can compete, we’ve been doing it the opposite way for 7 years hence why we are crap in all corners

Its all relative tho.

Say MSP get a shirt sponser thats £2mil per season more than our current deal and a better deal than fanatics that works out say another £2m a season better off. Is that £4m increase in revenue going to do anything when clubs like Newcastle are raking in £30m+ off dodgy sponsers or clubs like Villa/Brighton making large profits off finishing in the top 6/7 ?

Some of our fans are living in cuckoo land where this group are going to hoodwink some US company into sponsoring us big money whilst we invest little of it back in transfers to finish midtable every season.

Ain't going to happen.

They just wont mate. They're nowhere near that level of clout, ambition or funds.

I hate giving bad news, but I dont see that at all.

Unfortunately a lot of our fans have elevated MSP into being some kind of saviour as a coping mechanism against our current situation.

Unfortunately for them this group have the ambition/clout that see's us at best another Crystal Palace type club bobbling around midtable. Healthy balance sheets alone dont win you trophies / qualify for europe you also need ambition and dough to spend.

You really don’t have a clue about business do you? They aren’t gonna go for a slight more than a Stake or SportPesa type for buttons, they’re businessmen who could draw up big deals, not at the level of say United/City/Arsenal etc but a damn sight more than we’ve been getting

Severely doubt we will see massive deals over what we have now. Brands that pay expect global reach or at least not be in the headlines because the team got pounded and the fans turned on the players/board. Putting that to one side say they improve sponsorship by 50%, they would still be behind what we had with the USM umbrella companies.

It's chicken and egg stuff now with sponsorship/kit deals and we can't spend anywhere near like the others to try and catch up to become successful to earn the deals to push on and so on.

Theres more volatility, all the more reason for us having that opportunity.

Our FFP situation will actually soon be resolved, as we are losing the unprofitable years.

So it certainly happen, it depends on the competency and ambition of the owners.
