The longest absence we’ve ever had from playing in Europe was 10 years between the defeat to Feyenoord in Round 2 of the Cup Winners Cup in 95 and the 2nd leg win over Dinamo Bucharest in the 2005/06 UEFA Cup before that it was the time between winning the Cup Winners Cup in 85 and the game in 95 owing to the English club ban and our slipping down the league

We’ll return to European football eventually but it’s not going to be your absurdly specific timeframe

2023/24 - we add to the squad with more quality, and improve on our position
2024/25 - Everton move into BMD and MSP purchase the remaining share to become full owners
2025/26 - after a poor start to the season we become strong challenges and finish 3rd
2026/27 - seeing the money made from the CL, MSP sell every asset under the season and walk away with 10x return on their investment and liquidate the club into non-existence
2027 onwards - we’re all happy, GoT still continues and you’re still crying

3rd and a cup final in 18 months of new ownership is pretty good going.

I find it funny how the narrative is that there is no guarantee a gulf state buyout would result in success when the numbers show we're more likely to fail / "make a pigs ear of it" under US ownership.
