Painful, isn't it.

Have they not comprehensively outspent City for a while now?

You do realise those clubs only spend what they make due to being economic powerhouses - Everton in turn dont make much money and wont do unless we turn into a regular CL club overnight.

Im sure our fans would be happy spending 2 bob a season if the Glazers owned us

Im sure the fans will be happy spending £10m a season

Club projections for an annual increase in revenue from the new ground are between £40 - £60 mill a year mate.

Lot of people on here purporting to know what is going on. How about a plain summary for lesser clued up folks. Have we something to get excited about concerning MSP?

There are two conflicting reports mate. One from Journos, saying MSP will invest 100 mill - this will enable the club to borrow more on the market, club will repay with interest both MSP and additional lending. They also have warrant options, meaning they can buy 25% of the club at a time in the future for a set price. They also want two spots on the board. So ultimately this isn’t a takeover, their priority is managing their investment for their investors their priority is a return for their investors as opposed to the clubs welfare. They want the two seats for some operational oversight to mind their investment. They have some limited partners like Bell, who are investing, MSP are managing that investment. They can cash in their warrants at any time if they wish at a set price and take a stake in the club.

The other conflicting view - largely put forward by the esk is that they will take a significant stake and operational control by the Esk.

What? Why would this be? Prob be 25-30 million more a year on tickets and the increased attendance. Unless they are expecting everyone to buy everything Everton on match days! Pubs owned by Everton, food sold by Everton, etc etc then I can see where that figure would be. I wish we would get some clarity on things going up around the stadium as so far it’s all quiet. The only pub there is the Bramley Moore, now we have the winslow, Spellow, Brick, Oak, Black Horse, all which are busy on Match days. I feel like the club are missing a trick. Get presenting options to these pubs in helping them move and set up and taking a small percentage of their takings. Makes sense surly.
