£20k a day, 5 days a week is a bit rich.

edit. That said, the club could buy their own Lear jet I guess.
I'm talking about a trip to Lindsell London for a night out or to see your mates, ought to have made that clear. Wouldn't be too catastrophic to live in a £2m house near Newcastle and jump on a private jet once a week to hit up London if you were so inclined.

Newcastle being the only club in a North East city will always be an inherent disadvantage to them compared to Liverpool, Manchester and London clubs. If you want to add to that, the city of Newcastle doesn't have the historical or global pull as Liverpool, Manchester and London.

Their only selling point is the fans and even then I don't think their fanbase is anything special, particularly if you factor in that they're a one club city. They tried to create a rivalry with Sunderland but it doesn't stand up to the organic rivalries that exist in other cities.

If you also consider their overall history and small honours list then I think it's fair to say that Newcastle, even with wealthy custodians, never have and never will be truly classed in the same bracket as some other bigger clubs.

This is in no way a defence of her, but where are you getting £7-8m from?
She was COO for 2 years, then CEO for 10 years, and her salary is around 800k. The 4 person board gets 3.1 million, with the highest getting 868k. Honestly she probably made closer to 10 million during her time at Everton but I prefer to be conservative.

She’s only been CEO for 5 years hasn’t she?

Also, those numbers are so weird. If the total is 3.1m you’d expect the highest to be a good bit more than 868k… especially since you’d very much expect Sharp (as a non exec director) to be on significantly less.

Sorry, she was named Deputy CEO at that point. Shes been at a position of COO or higher for 12 years and on the board for 7. And shes been on other boards at the same time.

Some do say she makes 900k a year, and it does seem odd that the likes of Sharpe would earn close to hers, but thats straight from Evertons accounts. The 4 board members get 3.1 million, and since the highest is only 868k(assuming its Bill), we can assume the other two make around 700k and DBB probably makes just over 800k. Im betting the high pay for the board is due to Bill wanting to buy their allegiance.

Saw that they were basically doing this like a venture debt deal for 25% of the club. Is that true? If so why would we think this is the right way forward? We’re effectively getting another loan and these “investors” are just valuing their capital back as the priority. I don’t understand the appeal here from a club perspective.

Moshman dont wanna spend any more of his own money.

But he still is. He’s giving away 25% of the club apparently for a loan. I don’t get it. Maybe the rumor is untrue.
Moshiri wants to get the ground finished giving away as little of the club as possible to cut his losses as much as he can. (I think he accepts he's not making a profit)

This seems to be a good option for that rather than a straight sale.

I must say, I find it laughable that Kenwright had majority support for close to 30 years whilst lining the pockets of himself and his dodgy mates. Moshiri has spent hundreds of millions and yet he's the villain who needs to surrender all interest in Everton?

He's an idiot, no doubt... But he's not anything like the villain chairman tithead is.

They both need to walk. Moshiri invested, no doubt, but almost every decision he’s made when it comes to the actual footballing aspect of things has been wrong.

No argument there.

My point is I don't begrudge him holding on for maximum returns when that massive steaming turd has had a virtually free ride for over 2 decades of bad decisions and ZERO investment.
