Yep they just seemed to have done it on the quiet, but Gordon and Isaak alone cost over £100m, Guimarães cost up to £40m etc.

It's not spin
Before they spent a penny they were said to be able to spend 200mil plus in the first window because Ashley spent nothing so from an FFP position they were looking sweet... they spent over 200mil over 3 windows, and if they stay in CL they will continue to be able to spend more than us

We have done it the wrong way, we have spent on mediocrity, cast offs from other clubs with no resale value and on wages too high to interest other potential clubs at their level that we somehow expected to challenge the top clubs.

For a club in our position, the Brighton model is the only model but we need good scouts for that and no BK thinking his theatrical lens and nostalgic stance will somehow revert the likes of Dele into a reborn world beater.

They had a buffer of £200mill before FFP would sneak up. They now have a 96% wage to turnover ratio.

However, they'll be alright with the bumper league finish, champions league uplift, and the mad sports washed sponsorship deals they've got lined up which will be close to Tottenham's

Only time that happens is if Howe struggles in the league next season and the toon want rid for a better calibre gaffer.

However, while I don't think they will go silly on names, they'll pay silly money for good players.

Yeah he could be victim of his own success, if he had got them 7th it would of been fine, next job a crack at Europe, but they are going to hate not being able to catch City
 
Are we still thinking this going ahead?

Rumours of other groups sniffing around in the background but it's seems to have gone quiet which worries me.

Think they'll struggle next season dealing across all comps. Howes never done it. And the RS, Spurs, Chelsea should all come back blazing. Well, maybe not spurs

edit. That said, the club could buy their own Lear jet I guess.
