This is an excellent point mate that often gets missed about our wage bill.

Its the value and the contribution of wages paid as opposed to what we spend, take Mina, Gomes and Dele - we got 8 games all season from the three of them for weekly wages of £120k (6.2mill a year), £111.k (5.8mill) and a reported 100k a week.

8 games over a season for 300k + a week.

If we bring amortization into picture its even more depressing.

Other clubs spend 300k + on three players and they are absolute stars week in week out playing in 100+ games, driving them up the table - we get 8 games a year.

Next summer is big for us. All of the big contracts are up at that point and we will have one of the smaller wage bills in the league

I’d love to see Euros games there just for the cachet, to be honest.

Seeing Goodison in Creed and then Bellew’s fight there has made me want more non-football stuff at our ground.

I want to see something insane like Monster Trucks at BMD one day. Or maybe some Evel Knievel-style bus jumping on a motorbike?

i think if we still had the yearly sponsorship money from usmanov it would have made a difference but as soon as we lost that it was right back to the 90 odd percent

say with the usamnov money we were bringin in 200 mill and our wage bill was 190 after all the high earners went it might have dropped to say 160 but then we lost the usmanov money so wot we bring in dropped to 170 so it’s still 90 odd per cent , that’s how i read it anyway hahah

them numbers are just examples cos there easy to subtract haha but i’m sure wev got the highest wages to turnover in the league or were certainly up there

Yeah was only joking m8, Just feels like it's taking forever to actually hear any proper real news about the situation.

Than again an hour feels like a lifetime when it comes to good news with us at the moment !!!

Just pray that if this does actually go through it brings some proper sense and a good starting block to this club.....

And it also probably means we don’t get a penny in transfers for them as they all see their contract out and depending on the number of players who leave will then determine how many players we need in. It’s a never ending nightmare
