MSP are a business and like all such businesses they expect returns from their investment.
But within that world MSP do have a reputation for integrity and introducing good business practices.
Ultimately only by improving the standing of the club they invest in are they able to make a profit.

We are 100% a turd capable of being polished.

Steady the ship, finish the stadium and get us back as top ten regulars - and we’re a massively more attractive.

They could sell on at a big profit.

This is what we want and what is needed, we cant continue to have the theatre Dame in charge.

We need what City and Newcastle currently have (or someone very wealthy with wealthy friends who can sponser us out of FFP problems).

Anything else is just more of the same.

MSP own stakes in numerous other football clubs and none of them are successful or spend money. I.e the Kenwright years all over again.

At least under Moshiri / Usmanov we could dream for a short while - this lot just want to sit on an asset for a decade of midtable before selling up for a profit.

Hope this exclusivity deal ends and they can go purchase a stake in a Swansea or whomever.

If you think lack of investment and not rank incompetence has got us to this point then I don’t know what to tell you.

Agreed but funnily enough we were competent prior to Moshiri (largely down to Moyes) yet we still were never happy as fans because of the lack of investment being pumped in meaning we were not going anywhere as a club.

I just dont see reasons to be excited about a US group coming in to pick the bones of a struggling asset. Yes we may get rid of Kenwright but if that doesn't result in taking the club to where we want it to be then nothing will have ultimately changed.

Look at the clubs they have investments in and none of them do anything - what does that say about our long term ambition/outlook under this group ?

You do realise the alternative is to continue under the chaos of Moshiri’s stewardship, right? And we’re only headed one-way.

It’s imperative that responsible adults take control as soon as possible.

We need grey men in suits pushing pens.

Reset, regroup and stabilise.

If we hang around and wait for mega investment, we go down and possibly into administration.

This is existential. It’s no time for seeking perfection.

No value in that, sponsor names are removed for international tournaments.

Could be some value. Although the name won't be mentioned during the tournament coverage leading up to that point it will be so the name spreads that way and people watching on TV who are perhaps unaware of it will be looking it up and seeing the corporate name on the Wikipedia entry etc.

I think that direct benefit would be pretty tenuous, to be honest.

But there’s no doubt seeing a stadium in a tournament - especially looking as spectacular as ours will - would encourage promoters of all sorts to consider the venue for their events.

So essentially it’s good for the stadium’s business, which in turn, further down the line, benefits the sponsor.

We’re only going one way both financially and from a football perspective under Moshiri. We need the club looking healthy off the pitch before we even look it on the pitch that’s why MSP are investing, they have the business accumen to do just that

I don't think it would add huge amounts to deals etc. but the brand link may bring people to the table sooner. I expect Spurs to benefit in part too.
