We have to give Kone a run out can't get any worse mate...i dont know about you but I'm sick of this that and the other formations lets have a go at playing football as we all know it. Back to basics for a while pass ,move .pass,move its quite easy really.

You see I dont buy into this, the Gibson change wasnt the factor, the main factor was Atsu coming on and not having Ross and Naismith taking up the same space on the pitch.

I agree he didnt have the best game yesterday, but was still about a hundred times better than Barry has been in that same role and it was noticeable how much more exposed the defence was after he went off. Howard is still to blame mind.

I personally think that he wouldn't be a proper no.10. That would take away a lot from his style. But I would like to see him and Gibson together against Young Boys. He breaks up play, Gibson moves like a no.10...that would be exciting.

Checked the stats atm in EPL (whoscored). I know that this doesn't tell anything about his style or mistakes but I was impressed, for a rookie not bad at all.
I checked 4 things: pass %, successful dribbles in defence, successful dribbles in attack and successful tackles, all average per game for the 290 players this season in the league.

Gathering these 4 different stats there's just 1 player who's in the best 10% in each and every one (among the best 29 players): Mo Besic.

Pass%: 29th, 88,1% (Barkley,Jags and JMac are better than him for Everton)
Dribbles in attack: 26th 1,7 per match (Barkley is the only Toffee who's better than him with 2,7)
Dribbles in defence: 8th now that will cause some problems at some point (1,8 per game); next best Evertonian is McCarthy (36th)
Tackles: 15th (3,1 per game), next best Evertonian is McCarthy (38th)
