Maybe our future is playing 4-3-1-2 if we get another striker so we can have Besic, Jimmy and Barkley behind this number 10? Barry and Clevs on the bench?

I'd rather drop Besic back into central defence just so he plays every game <3

As far as "better than most" part goes I think he means fans in general. Including Bosnian NT supporters. Bosnia has a large diaspora. And we are soccer mad. I mean we outnumbered Mexicans in Chicago when we played a friendly vs Mexico there, that's a no small feat. We regularly outnumber home teams when we play away. Mo is a type of guy who doesn't strike me as someone who gives compliments lightly.

Have you ever played Israel mate? They have a passionate support so wondering how you would match up to them.

While he always had confidence in his ability, Muhamed Besic admits he has had to learn fast early in his Everton career.

The Bosnian international has just completed his first season as a Blue - in which he made 31 appearances – and that, according to the popular midfielder, is a satisfactory start to life in England.

Besic is no stranger to plying his trade at a big club, having turned out for Hamburg earlier in his career, but he concedes that he had to raise his game upon joining the Toffees.

“I wouldn’t say I am a better player, but a more experienced one,” he reasoned when asked about his first season. “The technique and everything I had before - now you just know in which situation you have to move the ball quickly or to dribble, for example.

“Every game I have played this past season has helped me. From every guy you can learn something, from Leon Osman, from Gareth Barry. They are all experienced players, and they are all so calm on the ball too.

“From the manager too I have learned many things, for example tactics. Before every match he explains to us how to play against the team we are playing and everything he says helps me a lot. I always try and listen in order to learn something.

“Tactically, I didn’t know many things, but Roberto has explained to me so I always try to improve every day. After every training session, if I make a mistake, he always explains to me what I did wrong, what I have to do better and maybe that is because he was a number six before.”

Like most foreign players coming into the league, the style of the English game has taken a little while to get to grips with. But Besic knows that, having already faced sides both at the top and bottom of the Premier League, he will know what to expect in 2015/16.

“England is the best league in the world,” he insists. “Teams press all over the pitch. It wasn’t what I expected at first, and it was hard at the beginning but now I think I am better than before.

“I was always a good player; it’s just sometimes I wasn’t quick enough. For example, I sometimes take one touch, sometimes two touches and sometimes I would dribble.

“I was always trying to dribble but now I’ve learnt much more about having to take just one touch to make the game fast, and that is important for the number six position.”

Mume knows all about the number 6.

He must never abandon his dribbling, it's never easy to find a midfielder who can dribble and tackle just as good. He is the only midfielder in our team who can do both. Take the dribbling out of his game and he's just another typical English sideway passer.

He is the type of player I like. No one is going to bully him. He stands up for himself. I don't like some of the thugs passing as hardmen in the league but I do like someone who won't be intimidated. He just could be another Alan Ball.

Thought he lost his place unfairly when Barry came back especially with barrys poor form. Besic wasn't stand out special but he did look decent great work rate and some nice tackles. He'll have to produce performances this season to get and hold a place. Im with moutsgoat on this kid.

If he's ever going to be a regular then I think he will play plenty of league games this year. He can come in and out for McCarthy or Barry and would be ideal for an even deeper lying position - if he can get up to scratch with regards to the pace of the English game.
