Thought he lost his place unfairly when Barry came back especially with barrys poor form. Besic wasn't stand out special but he did look decent great work rate and some nice tackles. He'll have to produce performances this season to get and hold a place. Im with moutsgoat on this kid.

Barry was good after he came back in though. I'm a big fan of Mo but Barry was probably better after that point however next season I can't see Barry keeping his place. We'll either see McCarthy and Besic or McCarthy and Cleverly.

For the City, and maybe Chelsea away games next season, I think we could use Besic as a sweeper. Play deep and try and nick one on the counter

This is NOT what I think our formation should be every week, I cannot stress that enough. I'm not proposing that this is how I want Everton to play but more how I think we should play on very rare occasions

Beisc always has at least a couple of mind-farts per game, that's why he's in Midfield not a CD. Putting him behind the defence would magnify this and nullify his positive points.

He doesnt ALWAYS, he just does occasionally.

Im sure he will do it less and less with experience.

I'm sure he'll be better with experience as well, but it won't be until he's played a lot more games. Throwing him in for random games as a sweeper would be silly.

When Barry, Besic and McCarthy plays we practically do play a back 5. I think just like last season where we played Barry, Besic and McCarthy in the big games away from home quite frequently we will play Besic, Cleverly and McCarthy this season depending on Barry's form.

I haven't wanted an Everton player to succeed as much as him since Bilyaletdinov.

It always surprised me how disappointed I was with the way it turned out with billy, I have a feeling I would be the same with this guy! I so want him to be the player he is capable of being!

He is the type of player I like. No one is going to bully him. He stands up for himself. I don't like some of the thugs passing as hardmen in the league but I do like someone who won't be intimidated. He just could be another Alan Ball.

No chance mate, I really like Besic, but if he played and developed for the next fifty years he'd never be an Alan Ball. Bally was a true one-off, Everton will never have another, no club, not even the RS are that lucky!!!
