Jury is still out for me. Would we not be advised to loan him out on a month to month deal to a championship team to get him some real experience?

With Cleverley in and Osman good for at least another year I don't see the desperate need for him to warm the bench.

Yes putting him out on loan would no doubt benefit him, and Everton, in my opinion too. But that point, along with him being a 'journeyman' (?) has nothing to do with the fact that I want him to be a big success at Everton. As well as a play-maker a lot of successful clubs also have a good, hard tackling midfielder, who can break down opposing attacks and open up the opposition with with a well picked out pass. I believe Besic has the right attitude, ability, and mentality, to be that player for us.

Is he Gareth Barry? No. Therefore he's not starting. We could have Busquets and Makelele in the squad and Martinez would still put them on the bench behind Barry.
 
It's clear he will be first choice DM by jan. He's already a top player and last season was adjusting to the league.

I know he's played centre back but looks like he would also make a very good full back. Probably an odd thing to say but he has all the attributes of a full back though for us will definitely be a top DM and people forget DMs usually come into their prime around 30 years old.

I personally think Besic will one day be a fabulous player. Quite looking forward to a midfield with both a mature Besic and mature Deulofeu in it in a year or so.
 
This is a very important season for Besic. I am not as convinced as some on here that he is definitely bound for stardom. He is now settled at the club , used to the premiership and Everton and really needs to hit the ground running this season.

RM said last season that he thought Barry would play less than he did, therefore it would be fair to think that he will expect him to play even less this season. We will see who can force him off the team.
